00:00One of the warships of America sailed near Spratly Islands as part of their Freedom of Navigation Operation.

00:09They challenged the limitation of other countries, including China, in their freedom of navigation there.

00:17And China was able to succeed.

00:22This is the USS Preble, one of the warships of the United States Navy, which is called the Destroyer.

00:28In a statement, the U.S. Navy said that the USS Preble sailed near Spratly Islands in the South China Sea,

00:34a place that is being invaded by other countries.

00:37According to the U.S. Navy, the USS Preble's freedom of navigation operation is a Freedom of Navigation Operation.

00:44Here, they challenged the limitations of China, Taiwan, and Vietnam in their Innocent Passage,

00:52such as requiring ships to ask for permission first.

00:58This is called the Unlawful of the U.S. Navy.

01:00America also conducted Freedom of Navigation Operations in the South China Sea several times, which were challenged by China.

01:07The latest Freedom of Navigation Operation happened in the middle of China's invasion of Philippine ships in the West Philippine Sea.

01:15The Armed Forces of the Philippines said that they do not know about the USS Preble's passage in Spratlys.

01:22But in a separate activity, the ships of the U.S., Philippines, and Japan sailed together in the fifth Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity.

01:32The activity is called Lion Down, which looks at the interoperability or the ability of the three countries to join forces

01:39to address security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.

01:44The MMCA is being conducted inside the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Philippines, even though it was not stated where.
