00:00A new eruption of the Canlaon Volcano was recorded this morning.

00:05It was caused by a thick fog that affected some areas of Negros Occidental.

00:11Ileane Pedrezo of GMA Regional TV reported.

00:20A thick and black fog woke up the residents of Negros Island

00:23due to a new activity of the Canlaon Volcano at around 6 a.m.

00:27In the time-lapse footage of PHIVOX,

00:29we can see how strong the fog was.

00:32We can also see the pyroclastic density currents

00:34that are formed by the hot gas and volcanic material

00:37below the volcano in the thermal camera footage.

00:40According to PHIVOX,

00:41the activity of the volcano lasted for almost an hour

00:44and it even erupted in a grass fire.

00:46The Canlaon Volcano Observatory and some residents

00:48caught a thick fog.

00:51Aside from that,

00:52ashfall also fell on some areas of Negros Occidental,

00:55one of the most affected areas is La Carlota City in San Miguel,
