Transcript
00:00Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu and Pakistani actor Imran Abbas visited Dubai to promote
00:24their latest movie, Creature 3D, which will be shown in the UAE starting September 11,
00:29shot in 3D, the monster-thriller science-fiction film features the Bollywood debut of model-turned-actor
00:35Abbas. In an interview with Tabloid, Bengali star Basu says Creature 3D will break new
00:41ground in Bollywood horror genre.
00:59The 35-year-old Basu, who is legendary for her fitness obsession, plays Ahana, who owns
01:06and operates a hotel in Ooty, South India. She fears closure and bankruptcy when a gigantic
01:12creature begins to attack her guests.
01:42She may not be a fan of grisly creatures and is prone to watching horror films with
01:48her hands covering her eyes, but Basu didn't need any convincing to do the movie.
02:12The self-made star celebrates her 14th year in the showbiz industry this year. It's a
02:36milestone that she happily embraces.
02:38I had said this, you know, when I started, I'm going to act only for five years. I have
02:43made a lot of statements over the years as I'm evolving. I make these really solid statements,
02:49which at that point of time, I really mean. But as I evolve and as I go through the life,
02:54and it changes. But do you ever get tired of being in this business of showbiz or are
03:00you just loving it? Right now I'm loving it. The day I'm going to get tired, I'm going to be out.
03:05For Pakistani actor Abbas, it was the prospect of doing something different
03:09that attracted him to the project.
03:11When we watched Jurassic Park and dubbed in Hindi, oh, this is dino rover. I mean,
03:17you know, the dino tongue is dino rover. You know what I mean? So, you know, it's more relatable
03:22because it's in your own language. So that'll be the kind of film which I think we have been
03:27striving for generally, looking for a very long period of time. Both claim that being a part of
03:32Creature 3D has been their toughest role yet. It definitely disciplines you more as an actor
03:39because you're more patient, you're more focused, you are more there on set because you're imagining
03:44everything and performing. And you have to give that level of experience to the viewer
03:48because they don't know that you are not seeing anything. They don't care. You know, final outcome,
03:53they don't care. They want to get entertained. But how we shot it is none of their business.
03:57But for us as actors, it's a very different kind of discipline to react to something. And both of
04:03us have to react at the same level. And how do we get there? So yes, the first few days were tough,
04:09but we got to it. It was fun. Basu also says that Creature 3D is not a typical slasher film.
04:16Airish Idenbileza for Tabloid. Hi, this is Bipasha Basu. This is Imran Abbas and you're watching me on GNTV.
