Owner and General manager of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones seems to be in good spirits even though his team is sitting at 5-7 on the season. The hosts discuss their theories on why he seems to be so at peace with where the Cowboys are. They think that he is just riding this two-game win streak for now since the season has been so rough overall. Jones is known for caring more about fan apathy over other more important things such as finding a new head coach. Is Jerry Jones hiding behind the illusion of improvement to mask his disappointment?

00:00All right, chop. You had a couple of leftover topics with Cowboys team building. Jerry Jones
00:21at peace. Where do you want to take it? Well, you know, that's the Jerry Jones at peace
00:26thing was the way he spoke to us on Tuesday when he threatened to fire. Oh, yeah. He spoke
00:35to us the way he spoke to us on on Tuesday. It gave me the impression that it's one of
00:42two things. Either he is at peace with where the seat because he's the way he spoke with
00:47us. What do you mean? Like he was in a jovial. Yeah. Great mood. Yeah. Talk about Rowdy's
00:53mascot van outside of strip clubs. That's a good interview. That is not the way an owner
00:58speaks when you're five and seven and you've lost your quarterback for the year and you're
01:05you have a head coach, a decision to make. You know, you're this is probably a more stressful
01:09time. I got the impression that that was either him at peace with where the season is and
01:17heading and at peace with the decision that he is going to make regarding the coaching
01:24staff, which we think he already knows the decision he's going to make. I think he's
01:28at peace with it. Or is the scary part that he is fully bought into this team right now
01:37after these last two weeks and they have fooled him and he thinks that they have a legitimate
01:41chance to make the postseason. I I really think it's just week to week reaction. That's
01:46all it is. That's simple. It's that simple. He's gotten his nuts kicked in for this whole
01:52year. He's gotten beaten and battered and crushed publicly and on this radio station
01:57twice a week with us in KMC every Friday at 1030 and he's just riding the high of a two
02:04game winning streak. I think that's all it is. And I think Jerry's main desperate focus
02:09for this year is not even making the playoffs. I think his main desperate focus was trying
02:15to keep us the fan base and the city around versus a full scale walkout or boycott in
02:23terms of not showing up, not caring apathy, avoid apathy. That was it. So I think after
02:30all these weeks and months of getting absolutely annihilated, laughed at, made fun of and destroyed,
02:35he's riding the high of two weeks straight. Yeah, let me show you progress. Let me sell
02:39you just a little bit of progress. How can I get hooked? That's it. Yeah, it's it's showing
02:44just like, let me show you. Look, look, I've made progress here. You can buy into us here,
02:49but I mean, you heard it. What was it? The day it was the first interview after Washington
02:53where he was like at the very end of it, he's like, I've been getting, getting ready to
02:57talk and talk to you guys for this interview. No, we finally want to get like, it's just,
03:00he loves winning and that's what it is. He's just, he's, he's starting to buy in. He's
03:04an optimistic individual.
