Scott Parker is excited about the potential that is still to come from Clarets stopper James Trafford.

00:00I was interested if you could give us a little insight on what it's been like working with James Trafford.

00:04Obviously, you've played and trained alongside the likes of Hugo Lloris,

00:07Rob Green, Shea Gibbon.

00:10How highly do you rate James?

00:13Yeah, I mean,

00:16pedigree-wise and in terms of his quality is there for everyone to see.

00:19He's been around the international scene for some time in terms of wages.

00:23That suggests that obviously there's a clear player with huge potential.

00:29I put James probably in a bit of a similar bracket to Luca.

00:33There's no denying and no hiding from the fact that last year was very,

00:37very difficult for James in a very difficult situation for him

00:43for a number of reasons.

00:46And this season was probably about building up again

00:49and just becoming a little bit stable and just taking some oxygen.

00:53And no doubt last year would have hurt James in terms of everything.

01:00And I was very conscious of that walking in here and this boy's got huge quality

01:04and is a massive part of what we're doing.

01:08And I've seen that side to him really, a calmness,

01:11took some air, working tirelessly now to keep improving his game.

01:16And the reason I referenced Luca is James is the same.

01:19I see someone that for the quality he has and what he's producing at this

01:24present time, I still see there's just so much more as well,

01:27which only excites me and probably shows the levels of where he can get to really.

01:31So really pleased for him.

01:32You're right, in terms of clean sheets and where we stand this year,

01:36it's not just one player or not just a back unit.

01:39This is a whole team.

01:41But certainly he's had a big impact on that.
