Clarets head coach Scott Parker feels that there are elements of his side which need to improve if they're to score more goals.

00:00The way this football world works it doesn't surprise me but yeah I think you're right we're

00:04we're in a good place we're winning games and we've done it exceptionally well considering

00:08where we were and currently where we are so more than happy and we live in a world

00:14wherever I want to pick up on little negatives and try and make a spin of that but like I said

00:18I'm really happy with the team happy with the the areas we're getting into and how I'm seeing that

00:24develop really so all part of it really so of course we recognise that there's certain bits

00:29that we need to improve on and we'll try our hardest to keep nudging that along really yeah

00:33I suppose you get used to it really and of course you know I can I can't we can't control that and

00:38I can't control that I understand the narrative and certainly in the world we're in in professional

00:43sport and football that narrative gets spun constantly that narrative will be spun another

00:48way if we was free-flowing scoring there'll be something else that maybe people want to pick up

00:52on so look like always you have to stay balanced you have to trust in in what we're doing we're

00:58here constantly we're seeing it the players are working tirelessly we we have a real understanding

01:03of where we need to improve so I'm very um I'm very aware and certainly over my experiences in

01:09football is try not let that noise escalate there'll always be noise and one week it'll be us

01:14next week it'll be someone else you see it constantly one week you'll be the best team in

01:19in the in the championship or the best team in the premier league and the following week you'll

01:23have a couple of bad results and you'll be the worst that's the that's the way it is you need

01:26to stay balanced and level in these situations so um yeah like I said look um we've lost one game

01:34so far this season and this team is showing certain traits and certain qualities of a really

01:39really good side we're also showing areas where we need to improve and you could say that about

01:44large parts of every single football team and in the leagues really so um yeah no I'm really pleased

01:50with where we are we all want to score goals we all want to be this free-flowing every game every

01:56team you go out you want to be solid and you want to go and score and the week uh on Tuesday night

02:00there was opportunity there at half time maybe we should be two or three up and the game should be

02:05out of sight that isn't the case we're not sitting here or the group are not sitting here and we're

02:10saying yeah you know this is the way we are we understand what we want to be um but like I said

02:16you're up against 11 other men who are dogged in certain moments and for sure there's elements what

02:21we need to we need we can improve on and get better um but first and foremost yeah it does

02:26come from a solid foundation and that foundation is a zero in our end and that's with the quality

02:32we have in this team we'll probe out and eke out chances that hopefully we can be clinical and

02:37and win games really.
