00:00Why this festival?
00:10Its fourth edition is hosted in Sapienza at the University of Rome and is part of the Social Sustainability Week,
00:15the first week of social sustainability that starts this year and concerns the whole world.
00:22This festival does a job of information, awareness and dissemination on social sustainability.
00:30What is social sustainability?
00:32It is what takes care of taking care of the happiness of all people,
00:37that is, to create the conditions so that each of us can flourish according to our own nature, in equal opportunities.
00:45These beautiful words are also what the UN Agenda 2030 asks institutions, countries and organizations,
00:54by tracing parameters.
00:57In reality, despite the fact that since January 2025 7,800 Italian companies will have to insert
01:04four social indicators into the balance sheet of sustainability,
01:10Europe has not yet given a taxonomy because social sustainability, unlike environmental sustainability,
01:17has a half-century delay in terms of measurements, certifications, parameters, taxonomies and assessments.
01:25For this reason, with the social enterprise ReWorld, we have transformed the ethical manifesto of social sustainability
01:33that originates from the Festival, the ReWriters' Fest and the headquarters of Advocacy Journalist
01:39into a rating made by the University of Sapienza in Rome and optimized by EICON Strategic Consulting,
01:46which is the first European scientific instrument capable of measuring social sustainability in organizations.
01:53All this to say that if, on the one hand, we try to help organizations to measure, position
02:01and talk about social sustainability, with this Festival we talk to civil society, the academic community,
02:08companies and institutions on topics that are very current today, but also very divisive,
02:14such as violence against women, body shaming, the contrast to bullying, racism, ageism,
02:20the relationship with new technologies, therefore ethics and new technologies, body shaming,
02:25fatphobia and all the topics that in a certain Italy are considered to be a part of a certain left,
02:33but which in reality are universal topics and which respond to the UN Agenda 2030
02:39and which are necessary to transform this world, which is a bit at its end,
02:44into new possibilities for our children and our daughters and for those who will come after us.
