00:00Ruin girl scout cookie mystery
00:03But I mean the girl scout cookies arrived yesterday. We all were enjoying them
00:08I said that thin mints were my favorite. I was ridiculed for that
00:12I had one thin mint put them back in the box because they're supposed to be shared for the community box still here. Mm-hmm thin mint box
00:20Gone. Okay. Was there a limited amount? I like was people only supposed to have one or was there any kind of whole box is gone
00:30Rude so
00:32classic radio station rude
00:34It's like there's free food that people bring in and it's out there for everyone
00:40Yeah, and somebody just squirrels a bunch it takes it home for themselves. You don't take it home
00:45They don't take it home. You eat it in the studio because it's clearly snacks. It's not like it's something that they took home
00:51They're favorite to the caramel delights. No, we're not because those were gone. We
00:55All time greatest girl so cookie is the caramel delight I used to be called the Samoa
01:00Yeah number one on the list. What's your what's your number one? Go to tagalongs. What's the the ones that you have right there?
01:07The peanut butter patties that I checked but they're all gone. I'll show you how good they are. Oh, they're right. Yeah
01:12Those are like a new thing. Here's the other thing. There's like these Gen Z
01:16Those are adventure fools. We didn't grow up with those. Those are different ones these ones
01:20Always been my favorite actually these right here though. The shortbread ones are pretty good the trifles
01:27Good but those are like
01:30Those are just like generic
01:33Megos right tagalongs. Yeah, those are like the ones that your gram your grandfather gets and he dips them in the coffee
01:39Were either of you Girl Scouts, yes
01:42Well, I was a brownie and I bridged over to the other side of the world
01:47Yes, well, I was a brownie and I bridged over to Girl Scouts and then I quit
01:51So I was a brownie and I don't even know what Courtney's talking about
01:58Learn anything special like how to start a fire with two sticks or anything like that. No
02:04About like making things with puffy paint on yes
02:07Yeah
02:11Yeah, the whole thing was selling cookies, yeah, it was actually our first pyramid scheme
02:21All right, well, I mean it's tough to find anything to say about this Celtics team that is negative
02:27I I the only thing I I find myself bored by some of these games. I don't know if you do or not
02:34Well, so do you care at all that they were eliminated by the NBA Cup that it wasn't in their control in the end
02:40I I I don't I I we've had an ongoing discussion about the Cup. It's stupid with it should just be record and
02:48That's it. Like the best team with the best record out of the group goals like this whole gotta win by third Greg
02:53I was texting the group chat like I'm watching the Knicks game, but and then I'm like what's gonna happen?
02:58They got a wit and the Knicks got a win by 38 Milwaukee has to beat the team that they're playing
03:03So did you watch the New York game I did I was like, you know, I was working so that's the point
03:08The point is they want you to watch the games even though it's a meaningless game
03:12You're gonna see if New York can actually pull off this 38-point lead
03:16And of course they didn't but it made me stay up and watch a stupid New York game last night
03:20I'm critical of the point differentials is part of it where would you and I were both saying if you win the game you win
03:26The game if you don't you don't that is true because after halftime where it was like, all right
03:30You got a 20-point lead. Are you gonna either blow the lead or are you gonna win by 38 that gets people more involved?
03:36It starts to be like a morbid curiosity. Yes, like I'm gonna go for it
03:40Can they do this and I will say I agree with you largely
03:43I don't think it really matters at all for the Celtics definitely doesn't matter at all when you're a team who's got championship
03:50Implications at the end of the season, but I do look at what they got in return, which is they basically get four days off
03:58Starting Saturday and then they're seeing Washington and they're seeing Detroit instead
04:03So they plug in the league plugs in back fills these two games
04:07because they still need to play games for the 82 game season and the games that you get just aren't gonna be as fun as
04:12a viewer as the games you would have gotten if they were in the NBA Cup because the better teams in the east are in
04:18The end. So is it like a built-in buy?
04:20No, it's not like a buy. It's just it the way that the scheduling works
04:24They just have a couple days off that they wouldn't have had otherwise if they were moving forward
04:28But they still have to play those two games
04:30Okay, it's just you're stuck
04:32I was thinking when you said that if there's a little bit extra rest for not making the tournament
04:37Is it better to be like, you know what?
04:40Let's not make the tournament so we can rest our guys, you know
04:43Cuz you see it in the NBA like, you know guys are not playing back-to-back and a lot of different things like that
04:48So maybe it's a way
04:49It's a good thing for Dallas because they might actually win something. Yeah
04:54You guys see the Kyrie story that TMZ had the other day. I said not no Kyrie Irving
04:59Yeah, when he was are you talking about when he was on Kai Sinait's stream?
05:03No, I'm talking about that. He's getting sued for allegedly not paying
05:09Dollars to some wellness provider for a retreat that he had did not see that. Yeah
05:16A retreat was hundreds of thousands of dollars
05:19So he was putting on a retreat that first he said according to TMZ
05:23They were gonna be 50 to 60 people there and they had this person
05:27Who is like a wellness guru?
05:29and that's what it was all gonna be about and then I guess it ballooned up to
05:32Allegedly over a hundred fifty people and then he just there that wellness guru person is saying he never paid them
05:39I mean, I'm like three hundred fifty thousand dollars to which I say this guy doesn't change
05:48I need that. I need the receipts before I go
05:51Crew what's it called convicting people?
05:59Good point anybody can sue anybody anybody can bring a suit again. Harry is always the villain
06:05I mean, how do we talk about it all morning long with John Bonet Ramsey's dad?
06:10And Greg loves indicting ham sandwiches
06:14Wiggy is on and
06:16An odd theme which is the offending
06:19Rolla's Chapman for shooting windows out is one of his big things that he's talking and groping his mom
06:24No, no, I said he did it ten years ago. And that's the first thing we bring up. This guy's a bad guy
06:30This guy's a bad 30 games, which is a lot
06:32I mean, but we gotta wait until he was never convicted of nine
06:35I guess listen the same way we're waiting on what happens with Karen Reid
06:38Look at how many people want to convict her already Jason Tatum player of the month hard pivot
06:47I've heard enough. I know where we
06:50Generally we know where he stands on
06:53We just do a very quick thing on that topic Milan Lucic. We I found out and I was here
06:59I I must have been bombed. I don't know but there was another instance of Milan Lucic
07:04Abusing or punching his wife? Yes in the North End
07:07Yes, and so when it happened, I was enraged that we didn't react in that first moment to that behavior
07:14So, I mean if this is the one thing that we've read about in the news odds are from my perspective
07:19It's not the only time the guy did it just like it wasn't the only time
07:24See, I don't I don't I don't guy gets pulled over for
07:28I don't subscribe he never did it. Yeah, I don't subscribe to even if a person who does some doesn't mean because they've done it
07:36One time they're gonna consistently do it again and again, so I don't subscribe to doesn't mean every case
07:41But how many people you get caught plagiarizing that you go back and you read through and there's like 16 other examples
07:46It's rarely just one time
07:48Yeah, but I'm we're talking about like things that I feel like when you're talking about
07:52Milan Lucic are you talking about Chapman of?
07:56Hitting a woman. I don't subscribe to if he's done it once he's probably gonna do it over and over and over again
08:02I also say Curtis like you have raised a good point about that idea about the plagiarizing
08:07But I do think that when it's an offense where it's like you're trying to find a shortcut like that
08:13That's something that becomes more habitual a violent alleged act is a little bit of a different nature
08:18but I do think you cross a threshold when you're able to do that to a woman that
08:24Once you're there, it seems more likely that it would reoccur as opposed to never doing it
08:30Yeah, like we talked about it with Diddy with the Cassie video
08:33We say if he's doing that out in the hallway imagine what he's doing behind closed doors
08:36So I'd rather not right now. I wouldn't either so back to Tatum. What do you think that video was a I know?
08:43I said I said I saw what he did that video. I was wrong
08:47Anyway, Jason Tatum. I is it what does he need to do?
08:51when it comes to
08:53Finally being the MVP. Well, finally, I mean we just entered December. So he's got a long way to go. But I think right now
09:01It's really gonna come down to whether guys like SGA or Anthony Edwards
09:06make any kind of surge in the second half of the season and if he can knock down Jokic because
09:12We've talked a lot on this show before about how will there be voter fatigue around Jokic?
09:17But the guys numbers are still just more outstanding than Jason Tatum's like he just continues
09:23the these
09:24Triple doubles that are the likes that you haven't really seen since Russell Westbrook and that got Westbrook the MVP
09:31Several years ago. So I look at it and I say I think it might be if if Jokic continues this way
09:37It's just gonna be hard even with voter fatigue for anyone to topple him
09:40And again, I do think that it's still very early for Jason Tatum in his career. He's gonna get the MVP
09:47It's gonna happen for him at some point the primary focus this year still has to be repeating
09:53especially when you've got this ownership change on the horizon and there is now this time crunch with everything possibly because you don't know who's
10:00Gonna be coming in. We were talking a lot about you and Greg's guy Pete Pritch. Yes, and
10:05In the heat game, I was watching it and it was bringing back memories of Isaiah Thomas
10:09I was saying it on the show actually the first season that you and I met
10:12Was that Isaiah Thomas season and then after the game Eddie house was talking about saying similar numbers there
10:18How important do you think Peyton Pritchard will be for the Celtics be able to repeat something?
10:21I think right now Peyton Pritchard is kind of the headline for the depth that this team has and we've talked so much about how
10:28Last year they had the best starting five slash six in the entire league now
10:32They've grown into something else
10:34Which is even more impressive and credit to the Celtics player
10:38Development behind the scenes because you think you have such a stacked high portion of the roster
10:43What do you do with these guys on the other end Peyton Pritchard was somebody who was disgruntled just two years ago with this contract
10:50He wanted to go somewhere else where he'd get more playing time, but he continued to develop behind the scenes
10:55You see it with guys like Luke Cornett who also had a big night against Miami
10:59so when you're in these stretches in the first half of the season when you're sitting Jalen Brown and and
11:04Derek white in the same game you're sitting drew holiday and both you're starting bigs
11:08These guys backfill and they just look extremely ready to go. So I know we've been talking about Peyton so much and
11:16Yeah, he had four games off the bench straight with 20-plus points
11:20That's the first time that anyone's done that since Isaiah Thomas back in 2015
11:24So he's certainly the headline there, but I think it's almost like it's the opposite of a symptom of a bigger problem
11:30He's the headline of something. That's really impressive that the bottom half of the Celtics roster is doing
11:35he's like fourth in the league when it comes to threes with
11:39500 minutes
11:41You know, everybody else has six seven hundred I is but bench wise they're by far the best in the league
11:47Who's in your mind? Who's?
11:49Behind them. I don't even know because what I'd say with in terms of their depth
11:55I mean their depth really starts if you have everybody healthy and ready to go on a given night for a playoff series
12:01Their depth starts with Al Horford, right and that's a starter on most other teams unless it's the Sixers, right?
12:07and then you have preach and then you have P preach and then you do have guys like Luke Hornet and
12:13Yes, Kata and Sam Houser when he's healthy
12:16Like you just have all these different options where I'm not saying these guys on the bench are necessarily all starters on another team
12:22I think that's still a bit of a stretch
12:24But they're much stronger than you usually see when you go past the six or seventh guy in rotation
12:29Yeah, and and especially with Pete Pritch, I think because that was coming some of the conversation
12:35That they were having when I was watching them play well, they just play here recently
12:42yeah, when they were playing the heat and they were talking about on the broadcast like
12:47What would Pete Pritch be like if you was us like somewhere else a starter?
12:52You know what? I mean for another like the Terry Rozier
12:55Conversation. Yeah, I had a few years and that's exactly why they were talking about cuz Rozier
12:59Obviously, you know went to Charlotte was became a starter and you know
13:02We see him as a good player and Pete Pritch having that opportunity and his role is perfect
13:08But sooner or later, he's gonna want to be
13:11One of the guys, you know
13:12I mean and we that might happen here in a couple seasons because you're gonna have the crunch of I don't want to get in
13:17all boring stuff about the second apron and
13:20All you have to know is they're gonna be spending an incredible amount of money to hold this team together
13:25And you've got somebody like Drew Holliday who's in his 30s and he's probably gonna be moving on in one way or another
13:31I'm saying Peyton Pritchard is gonna take over Drew Holliday's role
13:34But it's not completely out of the realm of possibility if you're trying to keep the roster together
13:40What aren't speaking of being able to afford everybody and what you brought up the the sale?
13:45Are you hearing anything about that?
13:48Just that it's still very early days
13:51so I I had it's been very quiet on that front from everything that I've heard but I
13:57Think it's first of all, you know how it is
13:59Once you hit Thanksgiving or for some people the week before Thanksgiving like every all the rich people shut down
14:06Except for you Greg all the rich people take like a six-week break
14:09So I wouldn't have it didn't they want to have it done by the end of the year
14:13I think that what they wasn't that what they I honestly I think that they the
14:19The preference of the grosbecks has been to keep it in-house to the best of their ability
14:26whether that's
14:29Because they you know, they they've done a great job with the organization
14:32But they will also be judged by the stewardship of the people. They sell it to rightly or wrongly
14:37They yeah, they did confirm that they had met with a foreign sovereign wealth fund
14:43But they could that that type of investor can only take a certain percentage of a team
14:48So even that wouldn't be that would be somebody who would be a backer with another buyer
14:53It wouldn't be somebody coming in and being like was it the was it the artist formerly known as Prince Harry?
15:03Megan Markle Celtics
15:06How great would be the Megan Linda drama I feel like my boy Basil's has turned his attention to the Jets
15:16I was in it for a while
15:19I
15:20Yeah, they were talking about Larry Ellison, but Larry Ellison is buying quarterbacks at Michigan
15:26So, could you imagine the local reaction of Elon bought the Celtics?
15:31Elon's busy Curtis. He's got a fixed government. All right. Well, it's great to see you and
15:38We will we will rely on you when it comes to all things Celtics. I'll be there tonight huge game against the Pistons
15:46Twice in a week
15:50Our Celtics insider here at WB
