00:00The second impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte was formally filed in the House of Representatives in the afternoon by House Secretary General Reginald Velasco.
00:11More than 70 complaints were filed from different sectors.
00:16It was endorsed by House Deputy Minority Leader Franz Castro, Gabriela Partylist Representative Arlene Brosas, and Kabataan Partylist Representative Raul Manuel.
00:27The main basis of the complaint was the betrayal of public trust, or the deception of the Vice President in the trust of the public, as well as the misuse of his confidential funds.
00:40Secretary General Velasco assured that, like the first complaint, it will be investigated in the process of the House of Representatives, in accordance with their duty to the Constitution.
00:52The House is committed to performing its constitutional duty with fairness, impartiality, and respect for the rule of law.
01:04We assure the public that this process will be conducted with integrity, guided by the principles of due process, and adherence to the Constitution.
01:21I endorse the impeachment complaint of our people, composed of 75 people, representatives of their organizations.
01:32We saw in the hearings, in the Quadcom, in the Committee on Good Government, the obvious embezzlement of funds.
