00:00Don't forget, Carver High, next Monday, they are having a Simpsons Monday night football broadcast.
00:08They do the periodic slime games, as you know, Nickelodeon.
00:14Now they are having a Simpsons Monday night football broadcast, which I deem better
00:21than the Manning telecast that they do, that everyone thinks is so funny.
00:28And, you know, don't get me started on what's funny.
00:32OK, and then the Monday night broadcast itself.
00:36You know, I may literally switch to the Simpsons.
00:40I have, what, 35 years of the Simpsons with massive success,
00:47just continuous funny stuff that has always hit home.
00:54And I'll tell you what, Monday night football has been a disaster forever.
01:00It really has. Since Howard Cosell, it's been a disaster.
01:03I don't care what anybody says. And that Manning cast, you can have that.
01:07You know what they should do? They should put Mara in there one night
01:11and let him talk about what he's going to do to turn the Giants around
01:14instead of these two comedians cracking jokes that aren't funny.
01:19I've never, I told you, I never thought Eli was funny. People think he's funny.
01:22I think he's a garage door. Funny. OK, I interviewed that guy.
01:26I almost passed out interviewing him. I was like, oh, my God, dude.
01:30Oh, my God. Are you boring? Honestly, Matt Mabia was there.
01:34I literally almost tipped over into the guy. He was so, I was like,
01:39don't tell me he's funny. I'm sorry. I'm not funny. OK, I don't try to be funny.
01:44And I hate people that they try to make funny.
01:47I think they're doing the same thing now to this Jason Kelsey guy.
01:50They think that he's funny, too. He's a comedian, too.
01:54I have seen it all. I really have. I love just sitting back
01:58and watching these disasters unfold one after the next.
02:01And you can quote me on that. Tell them all I said so.
02:04I didn't even know that the Simpsons were still on.
02:08I didn't know that that was still a thing.
02:10You missed out on all that hilarity. I still find those cartoon shows funny.
02:15I've watched some of the family guy, the Bob's Burgers, the Simpsons.
02:21And South Park has always been kick ass.
02:24And everything else for that matter. Rated X.
02:28It is just absolutely they go. They take no prisoners there.
02:32And race is not an issue because they hate everyone equally.
02:36It is just fantastic. And it's it's raunchy, dirty, homophobic, racist.
02:43You name it. That show has it all.
02:45They should do a Thursday night telecast with that South Park.
02:48See how that goes over.
02:50Maybe they should do a Super Bowl broadcast with them.
02:52See how that goes over with all the woke people in this country.
02:58To the NBA now, as we go, we have big NBA Cup games tonight.
03:03Before I get there, the Lakers lose in Minnesota last night, 109 to 80.
03:10They've lost five of their last seven games.
03:13And LeBron had a very tough night, four of 16 from the field, only 10 points.
03:18In fact, he hasn't made a three in his last four games.
03:22He's 0 for 19 from downtown.
03:25Of course, he wanted to play all 82 games this year in his 22nd year in the league.
03:30But it seems like he's running out of gas a little bit.
03:33Let's find out what JJ Redick thinks about that.
03:36Is that a sustainable goal in your estimation?
03:41That's a no.
03:43I mean, I think.
03:46That's a no.
03:47We are measuring players.
03:48Can't even answer it because he's afraid of LeBron James.
03:51We can tell if a guy's hot or whatever.
03:54He does a remarkable job of taking care of his body and getting recovery.
04:01I don't know that's in the best interest of him and us if he does that.
04:07But if he's feeling well and feeling good, then he should play.
04:12But we obviously want to manage that as best we can.
04:19Oh, that was really pathetic.
04:21That answer was so pathetic.
04:22Here's the deal.
04:24Last night, I watched that game.
04:27Now, I hit two of the games.
04:28I lost two of the games.
04:29That was one of the games I lost.
04:30I took a flyer on the Lakers.
04:31They got their ass beat.
04:32And you know why?
04:34Because LeBron James was shooting bricks.
04:36Like, I mean, he shot a three that hit the left corner of the glass backboard.
04:43He missed the rim.
04:45He literally shot an air ball so left, it looked like your boy Pinero for the Bears
04:51shanking that overtime field goal in the playoffs.
04:55He literally shot the ball, and it hit the left corner of the glass.
04:59And the announcer's like, oh, God, damn.
05:02Left, look.
05:03You know when they tee off in the PGA Championship, the guy goes left.
05:07He gets left with his club.
05:09And everybody on the side of the left fairway starts ducking,
05:13looking for that ball to crank him in the head.
05:15LeBron's shooting bricks.
05:18And it, in my opinion, has nothing to do with his million dollars he spends on
05:23his body in the offseason and his recovery after games
05:27and his starting five shows he does or all the records he's broken.
05:32He's just shooting bricks.
05:34Like, sometimes guys go cold shooting in the NBA.
05:39Basketball's a game of streaks, and it's a game of shooting.
05:43Who can knock down shots wins games.
05:46It's that simple.
05:47He's not shooting well right now.
05:49Stop shooting.
05:50He's a great passer.
05:52He's an incredible facilitator.
05:55Start doing that.
05:56I mean, when you're not hitting, stop shooting.
05:58Or, as they say in the south of France, go to the 10.
06:02There's no one that can stop him at 6'8", 260.
06:05He dunks at will on anyone he wants.
06:07He shoots layups at will on anyone he wants.
06:09No one can stop him.
06:10He's just got to drive.
06:12But what he's become at, you know, his ripe age, he's shooting 30-footers.
06:18He's just pulling up from 30.
06:20He's like, screw it.
06:21I mean, and that's just bad basketball.
06:25A huge night in the NBA, and there's a lot of things at stake in a few of these games.
06:30Now, there are some that mean absolutely nothing.
06:34Like the Sixers and the Hornets, that game means absolutely nothing.
06:38And Beat is out.
06:39He's not playing.
06:41He's only played in four of the Sixers' 19 games so far this year.
06:46So, let's just say he has not been doing much.
06:49The Sixers are four-and-a-half-point favorites anyway on the road in Charlotte,
06:53and that's mostly because the Hornets are also a little bare in the cupboard too with some injuries.
06:59So, four-and-a-half Sixers do ten-and-a-half total.
07:01Yeah, no Lamello, no Embiid, no Pat.
07:07I'm just not betting on this game.
07:08Like, there's some sound advice for you, Sports Grid.
07:12That is precisely what I would say as well to that.
07:16The Cavs are also 18-3, but they actually have no gas tonight.
07:22They've been eliminated.
07:23They can't advance in the NBA Cup, but they're home against the Wizards,
07:27who actually got through the whole month of November without winning a game.
07:320-14 for them in the month of November.
07:35Nice achievement.
07:36And they're getting 16-and-a-half in Cleveland tonight, 234-and-a-half the total.
07:41So, you're telling me that a team with one of the, if not best record in the NBA, is not in the NBA Cup.
07:48They're not going to the next round.
07:50They're done.
07:51Correct, and that's because of the three losses that they have.
07:55Two of them were in the NBA Cup games.
07:59So, they're out of their group.
08:01So, two losses in group play, you're done.
08:03So, that's crazy.
08:05All right.
08:06You know what?
08:08The Wizards are awful, and I still don't think the Cavs are going to cover that number tonight,
08:14because I don't think they're going to try.
08:16I think they're just going to go through the motions and win the game,
08:19so they can care less about our bets or your bets.
08:22And it's a lot of points.
08:24I mean, the Wizards are awful.
08:26They lose every game, but, I mean, that is a lot of lumber.
08:29And, you know, if any one guy, cool or otherwise, goes off in that game, they'll cover the number.
08:35But here's another game.
08:37It has no impact, no interest, no reason, frankly, to bet on it.
08:43Frankly, no interest whatsoever, at least for me.
08:46Now, these next couple games, they do have a lot of interest to them.
08:50Milwaukee is in Detroit against the Pistons.
08:53Now, first, let me give you these Giannis numbers over the last seven games.
08:56How about 59-14, 22-15, 20-13, 41-9, 37-10, 32-11, 42-12?
09:04How's Giannis doing recently?
09:06Seems like he's feeling pretty good.
09:08A lot of dimes, too.
09:10I'll take him if they don't want him.
09:12Yeah, exactly.
09:13You'll take him if you don't want him.
09:15The winner of this game wins their group, which is Group B.
09:19So the winner of this will be 4-0 in Group A and will advance into the next round.
09:24The Bucs are 2.5-point favorites in Detroit against the Pistons.
09:29220.5 is the total.
09:32Actually, the surprise has been the Pistons.
09:37The Pistons have been the biggest surprise in the NBA Cup so far, without a doubt, right?
09:43And people would say the Hawks, blah, blah, blah, blah.
09:45So they haven't lost, right?
09:47So why not go for it?
09:50I'll take the Pistons tonight over the Bucs in Detroit.
09:54The other game of significance in the East is Orlando at the Garden against the Knicks.
09:59Now, Orlando's won 12-13, and they can win Group A, as can the Knicks.
10:04They are both 3-0 in group play.
10:07The Knicks are minus 4.5 tonight.
10:09214.5 is the total.
10:13I think the Magic are going to beat the Knicks outright tonight at the Garden.
10:17Yeah.
10:19And the Magic have given the Knicks problems the last couple years,
10:24and that always factors into me as well.
10:28So the winner of this gets Group A.
10:30The winner of Detroit-Milwaukee gets Group B.
10:32Now, the wild card in the East, if Orlando loses, it will be them,
10:36because they have a plus-60 point differential right now.
10:40The Celtics are not playing tonight.
10:42They would need Orlando to win and Milwaukee to win,
10:47and the Celtics can sneak in as they're done at 3-1,
10:50and their point differential's around plus-22 or 23, I think.
10:54So you're going to get into the point differential when it comes to who's going to be the fourth team
10:58in the Eastern Conference.
11:00So you're telling me that the Cavaliers and the Celtics aren't going to be in the next round
11:05of this tournament?
11:07Yeah.
11:09All right, one last East game that doesn't matter before we get to the West,
11:12which is pretty crazy.
11:13Indiana's in Toronto against the Raptors.
11:15Indiana minus 2.5.
11:17237.5 is the total.
11:19So neither one are going.
11:22Yeah, these guys are both out.
11:24Indiana and Toronto are both finished.
11:26All right, so the Raptors had a big upset win at home the other night.
11:30They'll go back to losing tonight.
11:32And then another game that I don't want to bet on based on that it doesn't matter.
11:37Like, you know, you bet on every game every night, something's wrong with you to begin with.
11:42If you're betting on games that don't matter, that's another no-no.
11:46Bet on the games that matter or that you have an opportunity to make some money on.
11:52The Western Conference now.
11:54The Jazz are in OKC against the Thunder.
11:57Now the Thunder can win their group with a victory and a spur loss.
12:01We'll get to the Spurs in a moment who control their own destiny in that group.
12:05The Thunder are minus 13.5 against the Jazz, 223.5 is the total.
12:12Yeah, I like the Thunder at home no matter what.
12:16Like, you see there, they think it's 12.
12:18You're saying it's 13.
12:20How much did they land here, 13 and a hook?
12:22I got 13.5 at this second on the book.
12:25I have 13.5.
12:27I mean, it's doable.
12:29It really is.
12:30It's really good, and I don't think the Jazz are.
12:33The Grizzlies are in Dallas against the Mavs tonight.
12:37Mavs minus 4.5 is where we're at here.
12:41Now the Mavs have a chance to move on.
12:44Nobody can jump the Mavs on record, so if the Mavs win, they will most likely make the 4 into the next round.
12:52And they also got to run the score up a little bit on the Grizzlies.
12:55They're minus 4.5 tonight, 243.5, big total.
13:00So they have to run the score up on them, and all right, so it's a risky bet.
13:05I think the Grizzlies are live at 4 and a hook, but I'll lay it because they're at home
13:11and because they got Luka and Kyrie, and their bigs are violent.
13:16I think Gabbard and that team is very violent.
13:18Washington, all of them on the boards.
13:21They're a team you can bet on.
13:23Sink your teeth into the Mavericks last year, this year.
13:26Yeah, there's going to be a bunch of teams that probably finish 3 and 1 for that wildcard spot,
13:31but the Mavs come into tonight already plus 41 in the point differential.
13:37So if they can beat the Grizzlies by a significant margin, nobody's going to be able to catch them
13:42when it comes to that for their wildcard spot.
13:45I don't think that's possible.
13:46John and Jackson, I think they're a good team.
13:48If it's close and someone else gets a blowout, we could be counting points later in the night
13:54between all of these teams.
13:58Then they would definitely be chopped, and they wouldn't be going anywhere next week.
14:03The Spurs are in Phoenix against the Suns.
14:06Spurs are a win and they advance out of their group,
14:10but they're getting 7.5 in Phoenix against the Suns, 2.28.5 the total.
14:16I like that 7.5 grab with Wemby and this team for sure.
14:21I think the Suns beat them by 2 or 3.
14:24The Suns would win the group if they beat the Spurs and OKC loses to Utah.
14:30I don't think either of us think that OKC is going to lose to Utah,
14:33so the Suns are going to be in trouble no matter what happens.
14:36Golden State is already advanced.
14:38They are in Denver against the Nuggets.
14:40Nuggets minus 4.5, 2.36.5 the total.
14:45I mean, it's funny.
14:46I don't know how they're advancing because what, have they lost 4 in a row?
14:49I mean, they must have won all those games early because they're not playing well lately.
14:55You know, I got to tell you, I'm scared of that 4 and a hook.
15:00I mean, they're desperate to get back on track.
15:02I think they cover the number tonight in Denver.
15:06The Rockets have also already advanced.
15:09They are in Sacra Tomato tonight against the Kings.
15:12Kings minus 1.5, 2.27.5 the total.
15:15I'd like the Rockets to win outright at the Golden 1.
15:19I think that the Kings have been just so average.
15:26Like, you know, it's amazing to me with the talent that they have.
15:30I actually think that they were better with Barnes on that team with Sabonis and Fox and Monk.
15:38They're not the same team they were last year when they were, you know, lighting the beam every night.
15:43They're not that good.
15:46Not that good at all.
15:47And finally, we have the Blazers who are in Los Angeles against the Clippers.
15:53Now, believe it or not, the Blazers still have several scenarios that might be able to get them into the knockout round.
16:01But they would have to beat the Clippers by a lot and also have a couple of other teams lose.
16:07So that's very difficult to ask here, especially since they're 8.5 point dogs to the Clips, 2.20.5 the total.
16:16Yeah, and Harden's playing really well.
16:18He's lighting it up.
16:19I think the Clippers win this game by 10.
16:23Yeah, I think they win the game as well and probably cover.
16:26We'll see if Portland gives any effort tonight.
16:28Although they are alive somehow, 2-1 in group play to move on in the NBA Cup.
16:34So you're going to get a lot of teams looking to run up the score tonight, potentially, Scotty.
16:39So keep that in mind with these games.
16:41You might see Stars stay in in blowouts.
16:44They might be looking.
16:45We saw this last year.
16:46Best laid plans.
16:47Best laid plans.
16:48We shall see how it goes tonight.
