00:00When it comes to using MyWay Plus, experiences may vary.
00:07Mine works perfectly because I've got a new card.
00:10Apparently those with the apps and things like that, they're having problems.
00:15I've got the app downloaded, I can't use that, but the key cards, they work like a charm.
00:21No issues so far, it's been fine.
00:23Some of the buses we can use it and some of the buses we can't.
00:26Yeah, it's very confusing at the moment.
00:28Almost a week on from its glitch-laden launch, Transport Canberra has committed to reviewing
00:33whether rolling out the system, with what was described as a high degree of confidence, was premature.
00:39I want to acknowledge that the rollout of MyWay Plus has not been as smooth as Canberrans would have liked
00:44and that this process may have caused some people an inconvenience.
00:48The Transport Minister told the Legislative Assembly improvements have already been made and more are on the way.
00:54I want to assure anyone who experienced issues tapping off that they will not be charged any form of penalty fare during this transition.
01:02In fact, serious concerns were raised with the government in the days leading up to the launch
01:06and yet the decision was still made to go ahead, and so I ask, why?
01:10The Greens say they will support a Canberra Liberals motion this week for an inquiry into MyWay Plus,
01:16a sign of the new dynamic emerging within the Legislative Assembly.
01:20We're very clear that we're going to take each issue as it comes during this course of the Assembly
01:24and the community frustration at the rollout of MyWay underlines the fact that there needs to be an examination of why it was rolled out like this.
01:32I believe that the testing may not have been up to scratch.
01:36There are so many questions that should be answered when we're talking about millions of dollars on an IT project that has not gone well.
01:44The government says the project is within budget and with a 10-year contract with provider NEC, there's time to make sure problems are fixed.
