00:00If there was ever going to be a time for Cincy to save its season, it was yesterday at home
00:09booked as a field goal favorite at close against their rivals in the Pittsburgh Steelers.
00:15But instead, the Steelers show their ilk atop the division in extending that lead and doing
00:22so in a shootout where it was really the story of Cincy's season, an offense that can keep
00:29pace with anybody led by Joe Burrow, but a defense that can just simply not make a stop
00:36when needed.
00:3744-38, Pittsburgh victorious outright as a field goal underdog on the road in Cincinnati.
00:44A total of 46 and a half stood no chance.
00:47It goes over.
00:48Yeah, smoke the over in that point.
00:50In case in point, I'm actually not mad at myself that I picked Cincinnati yesterday
00:53minus two and a half.
00:54I'm actually upset that I didn't take any profits away from this game because that's
00:57really where I should have been looking because both of these offenses were getting after
01:00both quarterbacks to 38 times.
01:02There was room to run on the ground wide receivers getting to have at the Pittsburgh Steelers
01:0510 different players caught passes yesterday for at least 10 yards.
01:09That's incredible.
01:10And look at the absolute use.
01:11It's like, hey, one guy goes eight catches, 168 yards and two touchdowns, pickings all
01:16the way down 74-68, 55-54, 43-37, 29-23, 21-10.
01:21You got to be kidding me.
01:22Russ really was cooking yesterday, 414 yards.
01:26That's what you're supposed to do to that Cincinnati defense.
01:28And also it was the perfect spot for the Bengals.
01:30Asked yesterday, what did you think about the rest of the Bengals season?
01:33I thought they needed to go one and two in this three game stretch, which ended up going
01:36oh and three.
01:37The one game they needed to win certainly was the Pittsburgh Steelers game coming off
01:40the bye.
01:41But even if they did win that game, we knew that defense was going to rear its head down
01:44the season.
01:45Oh, they can win this game.
01:46They can win that game.
01:47No, look at the way they've been playing these football games where it's all on Joe Burrow
01:50to basically throw for 500 yards and five touchdowns just to give them a chance, not
01:54in a blowout victory.
01:55So I didn't know if the Cincinnati Bengals would still make the playoffs, but I thought
01:58the spot was great yesterday.
01:59But again, credit to Pittsburgh Steelers saying, you know what?
02:02We probably want to win games in a lower scoring form, make the correct plays on offense, run
02:06the football.
02:07If you need to engage in the shootout, Russell Wilson was there for you yesterday.
02:10He was sensational spreading the football around.
02:12And he also got a pretty good running game at a Najee Harris, 16 carries, 75 yards and
02:16a touchdown.
02:17Credit to the Steelers.
02:18I didn't think they'd win that game.
02:20They were the better team yesterday and they won.
02:21By the way, 44-38, that wasn't really the final score though, even though it shows
02:25there, that game was much, much better for the Pittsburgh Steelers side.
