00:00Well how are you feeling about this prize rise?

00:03Disappointed, dismayed and angry. I'm the chair of the local supporters branch who

00:08try and bring young kids from around the area to come to Old Trafford

00:13who've never been to Old Trafford before and the club have just pulled the rug

00:15from under our feet. There's no way that young people in this area which is a

00:19really deprived area of North Trafford are going to be able to come so it just

00:22takes the club further and further away from the bedrock of the local support

00:26that has been the foundation of this club's fan base for generations.

00:29What's your message then to Sir Jim, to the powers that be here?

00:34Stop what you're doing, listen to fans. We're the people that have been here for a

00:37hundred plus years and we're going to be here for a hundred plus years afterwards.

00:41Don't price us out, you need us more than we need you. We'll still be here whatever

00:46happens but you're not going to be able to continue with any of this

00:50vanity project that they call the new stadiums and all the rest of it

00:53without the support of local fans.

00:55This is going to severely hamper what you can do then

00:57like you say so you're just not going to be able to bring kids from around

01:00here to this stadium?

01:01We'll always find a way to make sure that young people are

01:05supporting the club whether that's going to women's games whether it's going to

01:07youth games as I said we've been here before Jim Ratcliffe and we'll be here

01:10after Jim Ratcliffe has gone but it just makes things so much more difficult.

01:14Young people in the area want to see first-team football, they've got this

01:17massive sports stadium on their doorstep that they're completely excluded from.

01:21It's not fair on local kids in the area, it's not fair on older fans who've been

01:25the bedrock again of the club support since the Munich era you know the people

01:29that are now getting pushed, the over-65s that are getting the price increases are

01:34people that were born just after Munich and were supporting the club around the

01:38time of Munich and it's just an absolute disgrace that those fans have been loyal

01:41to the club for 60 years being treated like this in their old age.
