Rainfall records have been broken, rivers are swollen, and water tanks are overflowing - with at least one grazier labelling it the best Christmas present ever. As the big wet continues across the state some parts of south-east Queensland could get up to 100 millimetres in the next 24 hours.

01:06The Weather Bureau says the big wet isn't over just yet.
01:10Heavy rainfall of between 50 and 100 millimetres is expected in the next 24 hours, mostly over
01:18inland parts, but some will fall here in Brisbane and on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.
01:24That means minor to moderate flooding of some creeks and rivers in the next few days,
01:29while in the longer term the Bureau says a cyclone could form over the tropics in mid
01:35to late December.
