00:00The Wraith Laying Ceremony was held at Davao City on the 100th and 61st anniversary of the birth of God Andres Bonifacio.

00:17The Wraith Laying Ceremony was held today, November 30, in Davao City to celebrate the 161st birth anniversary of one of the national heroes of the Philippines,

00:29God Andres Bonifacio.

00:31It was led by the City Government of Davao and the various government agencies of Davao allied with each other.

00:39This is also the day that will serve as a reminder to the Filipinos of the sacrifices of God Andres Bonifacio for the Philippines,

00:46especially as the father of the Philippine Revolution.

00:50Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte sent a message on the occasion of the birthday of Andres Bonifacio

00:57through Davao City Vice Mayor Milchir Kitain Jr.

01:01where he said that this Wraith Laying Ceremony will serve as a symbol of unity and love for the country,

01:09which will serve as a force pushing the Filipinos to overcome the challenges we are facing.

01:16We gather here not just to pay homage to the father of the Philippine Revolution,

01:21but also to remember the sacrifices of our countrymen who joined the greater cause.

01:28Our history laid down the foundation of what our country has become in the present.

01:33The commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command Armed Forces of the Philippines,

01:39General Luis Rex Burgante, also sent a message through the Task Force Davao Deputy Commander, Colonel Mo Yusuf Hasan.

01:48He said that this celebration serves as a reminder, especially to the soldiers,

01:53that being a hero does not require a grand gesture.

01:56It is necessary that in every step that is taken, the well-being of every Filipino is always on the mind.

02:02Andres Bonifacio was an ordinary Filipino with an extraordinary sense of duty.

02:10His story is a reminder, especially for us soldiers,

02:15that heroism is not only about grand gestures, but the strength to act for the greater good.

02:24The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by various government agencies led by the City Government of Davao.
