00:00I have four young children, my family, and I've grown up here my whole life.
00:09I'm very concerned that the dust, the spores, the odour and the rubbish, because we're in
00:15a flood plain and it'll all end up straight through all our properties.
00:19There's also a sports ground up the road that has got children running on it every day of
00:24the week, and all the jobs at the sale yards and everything will be in jeopardised if this
00:31plant goes ahead.
00:33There's a great deal of community anger regarding this proposal, and in particular the EPA who
00:40has decided to grant a development licence.
00:43Just over your shoulder there's a flood plain which is about 100 metres away at the most,
00:49and the plant that they're proposing is behind me and poses a great deal of problems to the community.
01:00Here is a major sheep selling centre in Victoria with over a million head a year going through.
01:05They all pass behind you on the road within 30 metres of the main entrance to the proposed
01:10plant, and then they're yarded behind that within 100 metres of the boundary of the proposal.
01:18The community is really up in arms about this and cannot understand how the EPA approved this proposal.
