00:00A special kick-off activity was held in Cagayan de Oro City for the 18-day campaign to end the violence against women

00:17The Regional Interagency Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children, or RIAKAT-VAUSI,
00:24and Gender Advocates Norman, Inc. hold a special kick-off activity for the 18-day campaign to end violence against women in Cagayan de Oro City, Nov. 25.
00:35Various activities such as motorcades around the city, signing of Pledge of Commitment, Zumba, distribution of leaflets and IEC materials to terminals,
00:44and a press conference through Kapian sa PIA to raise awareness and put an end to the violence on women that continues to exist and persist.
00:52Meanwhile, the DSWD assured to provide intervention and programs like temporary shelter and psychosocial counseling for abused women in their Regional Haven for Women Center.
01:03This campaign isn't just about raising awareness. It's about sparking change. It's about fostering a community where everyone, women, feels safe, respected, and valued.
01:21RIAKAT-VAUSI explains in Kapian sa PIA that government agencies are one in addressing to end violence against women and to continue to educate both men and women in their rights and responsibilities based on the law.
