00:11especially for the thousands of drivers that are needed in Japan and several countries in Europe.

00:21Rexon has been driving a taxi for 7 years,

00:24but even if he drives for 24 hours,

00:26he still doesn't earn enough so he's looking for opportunities in other countries.

00:31It's so hard, it's expensive to buy.

00:34It's better to do it in other countries.

00:37In an overseas labor market forum held by the Labor Attaché of Japan,

00:41more than 24,000 taxi drivers will be hired in the next 5 years.

00:46Almost 4,000 are train drivers.

00:49They receive 58,000 to 65,000 pesos per month in salary.

00:53But the new requirement of Japan is a Language Proficiency Certificate

00:57or the applicant needs to learn to speak Nihongo.

01:00The worker doesn't get any money.

01:03Even for language training, it should be covered by the employer.

01:08Drivers of trucks, buses, and taxis are also looking for jobs in several countries in Europe

01:12like Slovenia, Austria, and the Czech Republic.

01:15The salary they receive varies from 55,000 to more than 142,000 pesos.

01:21What they're looking for here is someone who can speak English.

01:24That's why Rexon said it's better for TESDA to offer language courses.

01:29I hope it's free training for kids like me because there are more opportunities.

01:37Many jobs are offered but many are not qualified.

01:40That's why TESDA needs to offer upskilling according to the Philippine Association of Service Exporters.
