00:16At the beginning of January, Mars announced it's flipping the status quo wrapper,

00:19which would feature an all-female M&M cast and benefit different causes that empower women.

00:24Some conservatives, including Tucker Carlson,

00:26have then spent the last month discussing the woke M&M's,

00:29which eventually led Mars to pull the spokes candies indefinitely

00:32and replace them with comedian Maya Rudolph.

00:34But this isn't the first time Tucker Carlson has dedicated entire segments of his show

00:38to the woke M&M's. Last year, Mars announced M&M's would be rebranded to become more inclusive,

00:43which included making the green character less sexy, according to some,

00:47by shortening her legs and taking away her go-go boots, sending social media into an uproar.

00:52It's unclear if the announcement is in direct response to conservatives' backlash over the

00:56new wrapper or if it's tied to Mars' upcoming Super Bowl commercial.
