00:00Preston Hemphill, an officer with the Memphis Police Department, along with another unnamed
00:04officer, have been relieved of duty for their roles in Tyreen Nichols' death. According to a
00:09police report, Hemphill, who was also a part of the now-disbanded Scorpion unit, used a stun gun
00:14on Nichols as he ran away from the scene. Ben Crump, the Nichols family attorney, said it was
00:19Hemphill who pulled Nichols from his car and identified him as the person who yelled,
00:24I hope they stomp his ass." In the body cam footage, the Memphis Fire Department also
00:28announced the dismissal of three emergency medical workers, Robert Long, Jamichael Sandridge,
00:34and Michelle Whitaker, all of whom were initially suspended following the incident. According to a
00:39statement, their actions or inactions on the scene that night do not meet the expectations of the
00:44Memphis Fire Department. The Memphis Police Department is continuing to investigate its

00:53Nichols. Five former Memphis officers have already been charged with second-degree murder
00:58for their role in Nichols' death. These additional two officers, including Hemphill,
