00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. released his statement after the accusations of Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:10The President said that as a democratic country, the law must be amended.

00:16He also added that he wants to talk about it in a proper way and that he has already revealed the truth.

00:25Here is the President's entire statement.

00:29The statements we have heard in the past few days are worrying.

00:35There is a lack of caution and the threat of a plan to kill some of us.

00:43If the plan to kill a president is that simple, what about the common people?

00:51Such a criminal act should not be allowed to pass. That is my guarantee.

01:00As a democratic country, we need to uphold the rule of law.

01:04I, as the head of the Executive Department, and all those in charge of the government,

01:12have a duty to uphold and uphold the Constitution and our laws.

01:20That is why it is wrong to stop the law-abiding citizens from seeking the truth.

03:09Let us remember the mandate entrusted to us by millions of Filipinos.
