(Adnkronos) - Le prospettive di crescita del settore farmaceutico italiano e l’importanza degli investimenti nel progresso tecnologico sono stati i temi al centro dell’evento “Scienza e tecnologia per creare valore” ospitato dallo stabilimento dell’azienda farmaceutica Merck di Modugno, in provincia di Bari. L’azienda, con oltre 196,4 milioni di euro di investimenti negli ultimi anni, ha consolidato la sua presenza in Puglia attirando risorse europee e nazionali e favorendo lo sviluppo economico e sociale del territorio. Lo stabilimento è stato identificato come il luogo ideale per ospitare un dibattito con le istituzioni sul contributo che aziende globali come Merck e, più in generale, il settore farmaceutico possono offrire al territorio. L’Italia emerge come leader globale con oltre 50 miliardi di euro in produzione nel 2023 e una significativa crescita dell'export tra il 2021 e il 2023 e la Puglia gioca un ruolo da protagonista grazie al supporto di importanti realtà come Merck.

It is a significant growth of export between 2021 and 2023. Puglia plays a leading role thanks to the support of important companies such as Merck.
01:55What produces quality in Italy is exported all over the world. 150 countries are served from this site, so we are really happy with the capacity we have. We are not really dependent on anyone. If we focus on our young people, if we put together young people, human capital, entrepreneurial business capacity, the political will of the region, of our state, to focus on a South that is not a flat South that asks for help and assistance.
