A dad has created a ‘rubbish calendar’ - featuring 12 of his town's best bins.

Andy Bailey, 50, known as the ‘bin-influencer’, created his masterpiece after spending a year ranking around 130 local waste disposal units.

His intrigue was peaked when he started noticing the strange variety of different litter containers throughout Congleton, Cheshire, in December last year.

And the dad of four then shared pictures of them on social media - scoring them out of 25 on ‘personality, placement, popularity, performance and pristineness’.

00:00My name's Andy, we're in the middle of Congleton. This is the bins of Congleton
00:09calendar. Since the start of the year I've been photographing and rating all
00:14of the bins around the area. Up to 130 so far. It just seemed too good of an
00:20opportunity not to pick 12 of the best and put them in this lovely glossy A3
00:25calendar. So that's exactly what we've done and I just hope people like it. So
00:29yeah let me show you around, take you on a bit of a tour of some of the bins
00:32featured inside the calendar which is on sale now. It's all for charity as well.
00:38Just find us on Instagram and a quick search for bins of Congleton should lead
00:43you to the calendar. So over the course of the past 10 months or so, since the
00:47start of the year, I've photographed and rated over 130 bins. Obviously there's
00:52room for 12 bins in the calendar so this is one of the unfortunate victims
00:57that didn't make it into the calendar. Nickname Bin Kingsley. I think it goes
01:03without saying the gravitas that the bin brings. Very much one-of-a-kind but
01:08unfortunately just doesn't really have the cutting edge to to make the pages of
01:12the calendar. We scored this 17 out of 25.
01:18So this particular bin has the nickname of Taylor Swift because if you look here
01:241989 is when the bin was installed which is also the name of a Taylor Swift
01:29album and it scores really highly on the bins of Congleton calendar. It's gracing
01:35the month of December. Personality 5 out of 5. You can't argue with it really. It's a
01:40strong octagonal structure. Pristine only 3 out of 5. It could be cleaner. There's a
01:44little bit of paint missing. It's in a really good place here near the
01:48open-air bus station. It's a popular bin. Empty today but usually well used but it
01:53performs really well. It's open top so litter could blow away but actually it's
01:57quite well sheltered. So overall 20 out of 25.
02:04There's another bin here. You'll like this. You'll like this one. It's bang in the middle of
02:09the town centre in the main pedestrianised street. This is Binderella.
02:12Bit of a sign of the times. You've got all your vape tansy. It's been cleaned up a
02:16little bit. Usually it's covered in them but you can still see that. Little town
02:20big heart which is very much the slogan of the town. It's well used. Dividing the
02:24litter to the recycling which is obviously never a bad thing. This bin
02:27scoring 22 out of 25. So pretty impressive. It shines a light on the town
02:34but also these little nuggets, these bins that I think do give the place a sense
02:38of character, a sense of humour, a sense of charm and just make it a little bit
02:42different.
02:50you
