North Korean state media announced Friday that the country is working on mass-producing “suicide drones.” Veuer’s Matt Hoffman reports.

00:00North Korea is investing in suicide drones.
00:03That's according to the country's state-run TV station KRT,
00:06which on Friday released photographs of Kim Jong-un examining such drones,
00:10as well as of the drones in action.
00:12According to Reuters, state news agency KCNA said that
00:16Kim underscored the need to build a serial production system as early as possible
00:20and go into full-scale mass production.
00:23North Korea has previously flown drones over South Korea.
00:26And according to the AP,
00:27it's also accused South Korea of using drones to drop propaganda leaflets over the North.
00:32U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has expressed concern
00:36that North Korea has been receiving military support from Russia.
00:39This is Blinken speaking on Wednesday.
00:41There's deep concern about what Russia is or may be doing
00:45to strengthen North Korea's capacities.
00:47Its missile capacity, its nuclear capacity,
00:51as well as the experience that the North Korean forces are getting
00:54in their efforts to support Russia against Ukraine.
