Strong winds, rain hit northern PH as Super Typhoon 'Ofel' makes landfall

Super Typhoon 'Ofel' (Usagi) made landfall in the Philippines on Nov. 14, 2024, as authorities order evacuations in northeastern towns of the country. Ofel will be the fifth typhoon in a month for the Philippines. More than 24,000 people in Cagayan have been evacuated according to government data, including those forced to flee from earlier typhoons. Evacuation efforts are ongoing.
