00:20The meeting was a follow-up to the first meeting of the two leaders on the sidelines of APEC
00:24Economic Leaders Week in the United States in November last year.
00:29Bisma Putra said both leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthening and deepening
00:33their economic trade relations through the promotion of the Comprehensive and Progressive
00:38Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.
00:41They highlighted the strategic role of the newly developed Port of Chancey in enhancing
00:45the bilateral trade.
00:47Boluarte invited Malaysian companies to participate in the infrastructure development of the multimodal
00:53logistics, industrial and technological hub in the central coast of Peru.
00:58Anwar also reaffirmed Malaysia's support to develop a halal ecosystem in Peru through
01:04sharing of knowledge and best practices to increase bilateral trade between the two countries.
01:10Malaysia expressed interests to establish a Malaysia-Peru Specialized Halal Economic
01:15Zone at the Port of Chancey as a gateway to expand Malaysia's presence in the region.
01:22Anwar is in Peru for the APEC Economic Leaders Meeting to be held from Thursday to Saturday,
01:28world leaders and delegations of 21 countries, including US President Joe Biden and Chinese
01:34President Xi Jinping, will attend the event and other related meetings.
