00:02You simply don't see that very often in the game of golf.
00:05These two are iconic.
00:06Here at Pacific Dunes, Tom Doak course, Abandoned Dunes,
00:10you've probably seen pictures of it.
00:11Posted a little bit of footage from it earlier in the year,
00:13but it was foggy, couldn't see anything.
00:1510th and 11th holes, the 10th is playing 177 yards,
00:19straight downwind, a little bit downhill.
00:22I got an eight iron here,
00:23setting up for a little bit of a cut,
00:26and that's just, that's not my natural shot shape
00:29with the irons, I like left pins, not right pins,
00:31so a little mini double cross there,
00:33we catch the left side of the green.
00:35Gotta talk about this hole,
00:36because my brother famously got a hole-in-one on this hole
00:39the first time we ever played it.
00:40It was 2018, first hole-in-one in the family,
00:44first hole-in-one that I had ever seen in person.
00:47We were up on the top dune,
00:49there's two different sets of tees,
00:50this is the lower dune, there's a top dune tee,
00:53and he had a nine iron from 160,
00:56little bit downwind as well, drained it,
00:58so I have to talk about that,
00:59congratulations to my brother.
01:00We get up there, and as you can tell,
01:02I'm on the left side of the green,
01:04we got ourselves a hell of a lag putt,
01:06the wind is blowing that flag,
01:08very difficult to judge lag putts in general,
01:10but especially out here, this green's right by the ocean,
01:13the wind's humming, couple cocktails, see how we do here.
01:17You'd rather miss long than short,
01:19make sure you gave it a little bit of a shot,
01:20and that's exactly what we did.
01:22Read it right, a big thanks to my caddie,
01:24shout out to Odie, did a pretty decent putt,
01:26but a little bit past,
01:26so we gotta make one a little slidey one in the weather,
01:29a big shout out to Peter Millar,
01:31this was probably the highlight outfit of the week

01:57here we go, for par, to clean this up,
01:59and I gotta be honest, we read that thing right,
02:02we really did, we just hit it a little bit
02:04through the break, I mean that thing finished
02:06a cup past, a cup to the right of the hole,
02:09after we putted it from the left of the hole,
02:11so that bad boy, yeah, that's a tricky putt,
02:13I'm upset, it's a fun hole,
02:14I really like, look at those arms are flailing,
02:16now we're onto the 11th, look at this thing man,
02:18to go from that hole on the 10th,
02:19you're staring at the Pacific Ocean,
02:21cruise right over to the 11th hole,
02:23bunkers everywhere, all cliff side down the left,
02:26a beautiful little par, three, I've hit six iron
02:29into this hole before, we played it a couple years ago,
02:31and it was 135, blowing straight into the wind,
02:34this one total opposite, 122, downwind,
02:38significantly downwind, so I just have a little bit
02:40of a wedge, it's a good amount of club,
02:42but I was thinking smooth, simple,
02:44you really don't want to come up short,
02:45and hopefully this would go kind of up in the air,
02:47have some English on it, and end up near the hole,
02:50it just hit it a little bit thin,
02:52it did land just right of the hole,
02:54but didn't have any English on it that I would like,
02:56a downwind like that, you can watch that ball
02:58skip and scamper to the back of the green,
03:01so once again, we've got ourselves a daunting lag putt,
03:05I tried to take this phone,
03:06give yourself a little bit of a view,
03:07we got the blue sky, we got the Pacific,
03:10and we got ourselves like a 40 or 50 foot putt
03:12into the wind, so here we go, laggy,
03:15looking great, Peter Millar, another great read,
03:17but back into the wind, you're really thinking,
03:20you're thinking it's downhill the whole way,
03:21but back into that wind, it's tricky,
03:23wind kind of holds it up, so after everybody else putts out,
03:26Rich, good job boys, nice work,
03:28you set up the phone, set up this view,
03:29so that you're looking at the ocean behind you,
03:31you set up this putt, I thought it was like four,
03:34five feet, looks like it was more like eight or nine feet,
03:36we got this bad boy for par, confidence stroke,
03:39he drills it in there, that one feels great,
03:42wave to the crowd, and again,
03:43you got to show off this golf course a little bit,
03:45a couple of views you're looking at here to conclude.

03:49that's just how you do it, two greens regulation,
03:52five putts, but we did it, we look great doing it,
