00:00Italy must continue to defend the sectors that create innovation, that create health,
00:12such as life sciences, which account for 12% of the European GDP, as well as new rules
00:18and speed to have quick access to drugs and, above all, a life science strategy, i.e.
00:27a comprehensive strategy for the sector.
00:29Who makes this strategy?
00:31We don't see it today.
00:33We are very concerned.
00:35We strongly ask that this becomes part of the country's strategy.
00:38We have an index, if we look at foreign direct investments,
00:42lower than in Spain, France and Germany.
00:46This should worry us because the world does not expect us,
00:49and our European partners do not expect us either.
00:52So, either we raise our heads, not only in Europe, but also in the country,
00:57or it will be extremely difficult to remain competitive.
01:01The payback knot does not come undone.
01:03And here comes the balance sheet law.
01:05So, the judgment is negative.
01:07The payback knot does not come undone.
01:09Financing pharmaceutical spending,
01:11resources are rightly added to the health fund,
01:15and it is appreciable, but it is not clear why,
01:19since spending is growing,
01:21since the population is aging,
01:24pharmaceutical spending is not increasing.
01:28This only increases companies' taxes.
01:31And on top of that, we are witnessing corporatism,
01:36which means removing companies' margins
01:39to give margin to resources,
01:42marginality to give to pharmaceutical distributors.
01:46Those who create value in this country are companies.
01:49Export, production, skills,
01:52high-quality acquisitions,
01:55and the second sector in the foreign balance sheet
01:58for the economy of our country.
02:03Either we understand this, or we will be losers.
02:06And so, we need only one thing,
02:10a government that puts priorities at the center.
02:14These are the sectors that are driving the economy,
02:17that are the driving force,
02:19in Europe, but also in Italy,
02:21regarding the allocation of resources on health,
02:25and with a competitive investment attractiveness framework.
02:30We do not have European instruments,
02:32we need Italian instruments as well,
02:34competitive with France, Spain and Germany.
