00:00The Department of Interior and Local Government, or DILG,

00:04announced early on the cancellation of school and government entrances.

00:09This is to ensure the safety of our countrymen

00:13in the face of the incoming typhoons in the Philippines.

00:16According to the government,

00:17they will announce suspension for a few days

00:21before the typhoon enters.

00:23This is also in line with President Ferdinand or Marcos Jr.'s request

00:28from the government.

00:29According to DILG Secretary John Vicremolla,

00:32he is already used to announcing suspension for work and classes

00:36a few days before the typhoon arrives

00:38when he is still the governor of Cavite.

00:41So, one of their reasons for the announcement

00:45is the predictive model and rain forecast model

00:48to know when the wind and rain forecast

00:52of the incoming typhoons will arrive.
