00:00China violated the Philippine Maritime Zones Act and the Philippine Archipelagic Sea Lanes Act of the Philippines.
00:07The two new laws that are expected to strengthen the rights of the Philippines to the West Philippine Sea.
00:14Patrick De Jesus is back.
00:19China has once again minimized their involvement in the West Philippine Sea.
00:24In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China,
00:27they issued baselines and base points to their territorial sea around the Scarborough Shoal,
00:34which they call the Huangnian Dao.
00:37China did this a few days after the Philippine Maritime Zones Act and the Philippine Archipelagic Sea Lanes Act,
00:45where they violated the aforementioned laws.
00:49The Philippine Ambassador to Beijing was even called as a protester.
00:54The National Security Council replied that China has no reason to protest
00:59because the laws are in accordance with international law.
01:03They have the Law of China on the Territorial Sea and Contingent Zones.
01:08If they have laws, why don't we have them?
01:10The People's Republic of China doesn't need to take care of anything
01:12because we don't violate any international law here.
01:17The NSC even insisted that the Philippines only violated the rights of the territorial seas
01:23under the two laws passed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
01:28Whatever is in accordance with international law,
01:31in accordance with the permanent court of arbitration,
01:37it is in accordance with these two laws.
01:41The aforementioned laws will be implemented after it is submitted to the International Maritime Organization.
01:47It is expected that the new map of the Philippines will be released
01:51by the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority or NAMRIA.
