00:00Here are the scenes from Manchester's Remembrance Day service 2024, starting with the last post.
01:00What's wonderful about Remembrance Day is it gives people from all communities and backgrounds
01:08the opportunity to remember those that sacrificed their lives so that we can still be here today.
01:13So between the Bishop of Manchester, Archbishop Doye Agama, Mr Mark Levy, Mr Kadir Chohan,
01:19Dr Saraswati Sinha, Mr Jagtar Singh Ajmal and Mr Suresh Mehta, there were representatives
01:27of African and Caribbean casualties, Jewish casualties, Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus, Jain casualties
01:33as well. And it was a lovely uniting feeling in a country that can sometimes feel really, really divided.
01:38They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the
01:50years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
