01:18status, my advice is for them not to wait to be deported.

01:33Because that is a promise he made to the American public.

01:36But Ramwaldes thinks that even if the immigration will be restricted, the need of America for

01:43Filipino nurses will surely remain.

01:45I am told by those close to President Trump, he has quite a number of Filipino Americans

01:50working in his hotels and also working in his golf clubs.

01:55And again, he looks at them as somebody that he really appreciates them as great workers.

02:05And that's an asset that we have, that we have that kind of image.

02:15But the bottom line is, it's in the mutual interest right now for the Philippines to

02:21have this type of relationship with the United States.

02:24And I'm sure that President Trump sees that also.

02:28As you said, it's transactional.

03:16I think that we will have to continue with our internal efforts, our internal reforms

03:27to ensuring that whatever the state of the global economy, we will be able to,

03:32our local economy will be able to adjust.
