00:00President Barcos Jr. greets President-elect of America, Donald Trump,

00:07who will return to the White House after winning the presidential elections.

00:13His incumbent opponent is Vice President Kamala Harris.

00:22The Palace of the Philippines and the United States relies on the leadership of President Trump.

00:31Kenneth Paciente is in the center of the news.

00:36President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is positive that the relationship between the Philippines and the United States

00:42will be stronger after Donald Trump's victory as President of the United States.

00:46In a statement, the President greeted Trump.

00:49The same goes for the Americans for their success in a process that shows their values to the world.

00:55The President hopes that the cooperation between Trump and the United States,

00:58led by various talks, will benefit the two countries

01:02that have a deep bond, mutual trust, vision, and a long history of cooperation.

01:08The Chief Executive also hopes that this strong alliance will be a force for good

01:15and friendship in the Pacific region and other parts of it.

01:19The President also hopes that this strong alliance is fully supported by the Philippines

01:24because it is based on the ideals of the United States and the Philippines,

01:29freedom and democracy.

01:31President Marcos Jr. is also confident in the firm leadership of President-elect Trump

01:36that he will have a better future for many countries, including the Philippines.

01:42The Executive Secretary, Lucas Bersamin, also believes that the good relationship

01:46between the country and the United States will continue under the leadership of President-elect Trump,

01:51especially since a strong alliance between the two countries is essential.

01:55The Philippines and America have shared history,

01:59and we have this desire for peace in this region,

02:04so I think the commitments will be followed through.

02:08House Speaker Martin Romualdez is confident that the strong relationship between the two countries

02:14will not be severed following the victory of President-elect Trump.

02:16He also believes that the relationship between the Philippines and the United States

02:20will not be broken when it comes to various talks.

02:22I believe that there will be a continuity of economic activity, investments,

02:29and in the case of security and defense arrangements,

02:33we will be having as much if not more support.

02:37US Ambassador to the Philippines Mary Kay Carlson also promised

02:41that there will be no changes between the two countries,

02:43but she insists that there are still many agendas under the leadership of US President Joe Biden.

02:49We're very excited to renew our coordinates with the Trump administration,

02:56between President Trump and the Philippines.

02:59But also remember, in the United States, there's one president at a time.

03:03So until January 20th, we will be continuing to fulfill the Biden administration's agenda.

03:09We still have a lot on our plate, including some big visits and some important conferences coming up.

03:15So we look forward to finishing out strong and then starting out strong with the new administration.

03:20Donald Trump won the election as President of the United States after obtaining 292 electoral votes

03:27and promised to be a strong, safe, and prosperous America.

03:31In his 26-minute victory speech, he thanked supporters and gave his platform,

03:37especially in immigration reform.

03:39He will also promote the America First ideology.

03:42Trump obtained more than 72 million votes, the most in the history of a presidential candidate.

03:48Trump served as the 45th US President from 2017 to 2021

03:53and was able to return to the White House after his re-victory.

03:57Kamala Harris also formally conceded and thanked her supporters

04:02and announced the results of the election.
