Transferring Data Using a USB on Leica TS11 Total Station
Insert the USB Drive: Plug the USB drive into the USB port on the Leica TS11 Total Station. Ensure it is properly inserted and recognized by the device.
Access Data Management:
On the TS11’s home screen, go to the Main Menu.
Select Data Management or File Manager (depending on your version), which allows you to access and manage files on both the device and the USB.
Exporting Data to USB:
Navigate to Export or Copy Data options within Data Management.
Select the Data you want to transfer, such as job files, point data, or coordinates.
Choose the USB drive as the destination location and confirm to export. The data will now be copied to the USB for use on other devices.
Importing Data from USB:
In the Data Management menu, select Import or Load Data.
Choose the USB as the source location and browse through the files to locate the data you want to import.
Select the required files (like CSV, DXF, or job files) and confirm to import. The data will be added to the TS11 memory for use in field operations.
Verify Data Transfer:
After importing or exporting, navigate back to the relevant project or job file to ensure the data is properly saved and accessible.
Safely remove the USB drive by selecting the Eject option in the Data Management menu or simply removing it if the device allows.
Data Compatibility:
Ensure that the data format is compatible with the Leica TS11. For instance, .CSV files for point data or .DXF for CAD files are common.
If exporting data for another software, verify it opens correctly on your PC or other devices.
