00:00Let's go to the mountains of Western North Carolina now where Helene recovery efforts continue Brie
00:05Yeah, Helene recovery efforts emit a very airy scene. This was taken in Bakersville, North Carolina now seeing
00:13some of that rain here moving closer to where we're
00:18Anticipating some of that storms, but we do have some flash flood warnings here
00:23It out in this area and that's gonna include right around Augusta just further east and we do have a more flash flood
00:31Warnings here in effect that does include Orangeburg County, South Carolina now extended until 10 15 p.m
00:38Easter in time we move this a little bit further east, you know, this is just south of Columbia
00:43So heads up. This is just the start of things
00:46We were telling you this throughout the afternoon
00:48But this rain really starting to get going and if we even just look back at the past
00:55Few hours where we've seen some of that rainfall just over the past 24 hours
01:01If we look at an area like this right in this pocket about five and a half inches and you know
01:08It nest wasn't very wet here over the last few hours
01:12So this is from a lot of this storm and it's moving and it's falling at
01:18Quite a rate here across parts of this area just south of Columbia seeing at least about four inches per
01:25Hour 24 hour rainfall accumulation. So we've seen some good rain here from this system, though. That's why we have
01:32These alerts out here. Those weather alerts are going to stick around here from
01:38Southern and central, Georgia
01:40And we also have those flood warnings in effect here from Daytona down through tip or really just across central, Florida
01:47But right around that Daytona Beach region on the Atlantic side watch that bull's-eye here accumulate
01:54Right in that zone is where we are anticipating that highest threat for flash flooding
01:58But you'll see you will get a nice dose of rain from this event even further north
02:02So heads up for those recovery efforts, especially there across the southern Appalachian region
02:06It could get very damp. Now. We are tracking the heaviest rain really being right in
02:12that Georgia, South Carolina
02:15Right where we meet up along the border of those two states down through areas
02:20Closer to Albany where we could see some good rainfall here in just a span of a few hours
02:25Your actual local storm X goes as high as 15 inches of rain
02:29Make sure you're taking care of yourself in this rain
