Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has arrived in Beijing, the last stop of his working visit to China from Nov 4 to 7. Earlier in Shanghai, Anwar told the media after a roundtable with industry players that Chinese investors and companies are showing increased interest in Malaysia.

00:00Prime Minister Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim arrived in Beijing on Wednesday evening after completing
00:07the first leg of his working visit to China. This is the last stop of his visit to the
00:12country from November 4th to 7th. Anwar is scheduled to pay a courtesy call to Chinese
00:18President Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People. Anwar will also deliver a talk
00:23entitled, Bridging Futures, Strengthening Malaysia-China Relations and ASEAN Centrality,
00:29in a shifting global order, at Peking University. Also lined up for the Prime Minister is a
00:35visit to the Huawei Executive Briefing Centre. Earlier in Shanghai, Anwar held a dialogue
00:41session with Chinese investors and the session was organised by Kazana National. He then
00:47held a roundtable session with over 20 industry leaders. He told the media after that Chinese
00:52investors and companies are showing increased interest in Malaysia. He said the government
00:57will announce the amount of potential investments secured during the visit.
01:03It is Anwar's third trip to China as Prime Minister, following his first visit in March
01:082023 and a subsequent visit in September in the same year.
