00:00It is expected that the Senate will debate on the national budget for the next year.

00:08We will find out more in the news center of Daniel Manalastas.

00:15Last night in the plenary, the 2025 budget sponsored by Senator Grace Poe,

00:20laid out the contents of the government's budget for the next year for the Senate.

00:25It is expected that the budget will focus on health, education, technology,

00:29livelihood, assistance, and many more.

00:32This budget isn't just a series of numbers.

00:35It's a blueprint of our priorities, the most important investment of our government.

00:41Even in the hot discussion on the budget of the Office of the Vice President,

00:45Poe confirmed that they adopted the version of the Camera,

00:48where the budget of the Office of the Vice President, Sara Duterte,

00:52is up to P733 million.

00:55It has been reduced to P2 billion for the next year.

01:01And for the people of the country in 2025,

01:04the senator assured that the funds for the COMELEC will not be reduced,

01:09including the funds for the BARM elections.

01:12As for the assistance to the Kaposangkita Program,

01:15Poe said that it will be dependent on the debate of the Senate on the budget.

01:19They agreed on the passing of the budget when it enters the deadline.

01:24Aside from that, there will be additional funds for health

01:27and for the budget when there is calamity.

01:30We will add additional funds for the Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance Program

01:36that will be used for emergency shelter support.

01:40Aside from that, there will be additional funds for the Quick Response Fund

01:44for the rehabilitation and assistance to the victims and the victims.

01:48There will also be a program for senior citizens,

01:51housing for Filipino families,

01:53assistance for OFWs, and even for PUV drivers.

01:57They also agreed on the passing of the budget for agriculture,

02:01infrastructure, labor, transportation, defense, and fight against criminality.

02:07And to stop the ill-gotten gains,

02:12this was fought for by Senator Riza.

02:15The Senate shall support the funding for the Automated Biometrics Identification System

02:21of the Bureau of Immigration.
