00:00We're Days Upholstery School and this is a new set-up for us.

00:04We're diversifying from traditional upholstery into teaching.

00:0832 years my dad set up his own business, but he'd been upholstering for a lot longer than that.

00:14And I've worked here for over 20 years now.

00:17We're offering a wide range of upholstery classes.

00:21We're offering modern, simple footstools,

00:26right up to rebuilding with traditional methods, horsehair and canvas and needles and all that sort of thing.

00:33We're building up what we can offer slowly, but as it stands on our website,

00:41we offer courses in bring your own projects, footstools, headboards,

00:48and that will be added on later.

00:51I'll be doing cane rush seating and lots of other ideas that I've got, which I need to work out on at the moment.

01:00This is a Victorian gentleman's chair. It's for a friend of my dad's, who's been waiting a long time for it.

01:07It's pretty battered, as you can see. It needs a little bit of repair on the arms here.

01:12All the fabric's going to be taken off. We're going to just reinforce the back here a little bit.

01:18The customer wants the seat squishy, so we're going to just put some light padding on that for him.

01:23And then just reupholster it all, really, with the buttons.

01:27Buttons are one of my favourite things in the world, so I look forward to doing that.

01:31We're based at Trevolinari, just a mile outside of Oswestry, so it's easy to find.
