00:00The Department of Health Region 5 has allocated 6.58 million pesos in medical and logistical support
00:07to local government units or LGUs to aid those who are affected by severe tropical storm Christine.
00:14In a report gathered by the Philippine News Agency, DOH Region 5 has deployed over 5,000 healthcare personnel
00:21across various towns and cities in Albay and Camarinesur to ensure the continued provision
00:27of free medical services in the impacted areas.
00:31The most common health issues reported in evacuation centers were cough, colds, open wounds and bruises,
00:38fever, high blood pressure, skin diseases, loose stools, fungal infections, dizziness,
00:44headaches, itchiness, abdominal pain and boils.
00:47Free medical and nutritional checkups along with vaccinations for senior citizens and children
00:53against pneumonia, measles, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria have continued.
