The scene of the flooding along Stafford Road, Bloxwich, after a burst water main.
Transcript
00:00Okay Adam, so you've been affected by the flood today, the burst water main on Stafford
00:12Road.
00:13Just explain what happened and what time you found out.
00:15It was about 4.30 this morning, we got a knock on the door and it was the fireman and we
00:19looked out and we thought, what the hell's going on?
00:23And literally, flood everywhere, the drivers flooded, the back garden, the garage was all
00:28flooded.
00:29How deep was it roughly?
00:32Probably top of ankle, just before that door there, it was quite deep, so like I say it's
00:37affected all the stuff in the garage, all the girls football equipment, because we were
00:41on a local girls football team, so all the girls equipment's been damaged.
00:46Has it?
00:47So all that's got to be replaced?
00:48Yeah.
00:49Oh what a shame.
00:50Goodness me.
00:51So yeah, you say when it happened you thought it was kids messing around?
00:54Yeah, that's it.
00:56Obviously at 4.30 in the morning you think, what silly sod's going on here?
01:01So yeah, we knocked open the door and it was the fireman just saying, you've got a flood,
01:05and I was like, I just couldn't believe it.
01:07But hopefully they're getting on with fixing it now.
01:09Yeah, they're fixing it now.
01:10Has it ever happened before for you?
01:11No, no, not happened before, but they said it would last all week, apparently, by the
01:16time they fix it.
01:17Really?
01:18Yeah, so obviously we've got to drive to repair it as well, because it's just full of mud
01:22and dirt and rain water, so it's just a case of.
01:25Really?
01:26Repair it all.
01:27That's it.
01:28Crack on.
01:29Thanks for your time anyway.
01:30Yeah, no problem at all, thank you.
