00:00Hello sir. Matthew. So it's Leebrook Road Wensbury and we had the flooding, Burrs Water
00:09Main. It didn't come up into the houses did it? I don't think, it was just driveways and
00:15it sort of came up to like the half of the first step but it did flood out my dad's lock
00:19up and he's got two bikes in there, he had to bring them all out to avoid them from getting
00:24flooded. And it's left a residue of oil and that on some of the driveways hasn't it which
00:29is going to be a bit of a mess to clean up. So what's the situation at the minute, you've
00:32got power to the house, you've got water? We've got no water, we're on the bottled water
00:37and the National Grid have connected us to a generator. So all your power at the minute
00:43is from this generator? We was without power for about 10 hours, it was to about half eight
00:49last night they said they would be around to connect us. So what was the first that
00:52you knew about the flooding then? Well the neighbours was just banging on the door and
00:57my aunt she opened the door and then I looked out the window and I could see that the water
01:04was starting to come through. This was about seven o'clock in the morning and within about
01:10two hours it was completely saturated the drives. Thank God that your house is just
01:17that little bit raised up isn't it? Yeah we're quite lucky because it's not gone into the
01:19house, it's the ones further on down that are on the street level, the ones that have
01:22been flooded out. It did actually go into their property did it? Yeah the man on the
01:27end there is called Paul, his car is actually submerged in water. Oh no, right okay, nightmare.
01:33And I'm right in saying, we had a little chat off camera, this isn't the first time you've
01:37had a burst water main and flooding here is it? No, it happened in 2018 as well, the same
01:42thing, but what happened yesterday I think was a little bit worse. Yeah. Because even
01:47though it was bad then, the damage, it's caused more damage this time than it did
01:53the last time. Yeah, but I guess you're just questioning how come, you know, this is two
01:58and you said another incident possibly in between that. Yeah. So I guess it leaves you
02:02questioning three incidents on the same bit of road, what's going on? Yeah, why wasn't
02:07it fixed the last time and the second time? Why was it left until now for the same thing
02:12to happen again? Yeah.
