00:00Let's talk about Joe Flacco.
00:04I think he's better than Richardson to begin with.
00:07I thought the game in Jacksonville when he threw those dimes to Pierce, that's all I
00:12needed to see that this guy is still the guy that won a ring, still the guy that carried
00:16the Browns to the playoffs, and he's doing it again with the Colts.
00:20And I'm not surprised at all they benched a kid after he quit on his team.
00:24You know, he, you said the operative word that was perfect.
00:28He's a kid.
00:29He's 22 years old.
00:30He hadn't started a lot of football games.
00:32He's so physically gifted that I don't think anybody's ever brought real adversity to this
00:37kid.
00:38And so now he's got adversity.
00:41He has failed as an NFL starter.
00:43We'll see how he responds to that adversity.
00:46Most of the time in life, people experience adversity.
00:49They learn from it.
00:50They bounce back.
00:51There's more adversity.
00:52You and I know that in broadcasting, that happens all the time.
00:55That kid is so otherworldly talented that nobody has ever visited upon him the kind
01:01of adversity that Shane Steichen, Chris Ballard have, and it's going to be up to him to respond
01:06to it well.
01:07He has physical gifts that Joe Flacco can only dream about, but that's not the only
01:11thing there is to playing football and playing quarterback in the NFL.
01:15You've got to be able to function and you've got to be able to read defenses and throw
01:19guys open instead of throwing the football when guys are open.
01:23And that's what Joe Flacco is going to be able to do.
01:26This is an offensive unit with a really good, mature offensive line.
01:29They've got good weapons.
01:30They've got a terrific running back.
01:32They have decent tight ends.
01:34That thing can operate, and Joe Flacco is a guy it can operate with.
01:39He's going to check down instead of throw everything deep and just try to make great
01:43plays, which is what Richardson tried to do and was really his undoing.
01:48Not knowing to go out of bounds late in that game in Houston, that really showed as much
01:54to anybody as the tapout did.
01:57We'll see how Flacco responds.
01:59This is why they brought him in as a safety net in case Richardson kind of balks.
02:04He did.
02:05So let's go, Joe Flacco.
02:07How do you think, I have one minute respectfully, how do you think they'll do against the Vikings
02:12at the bank in Minneapolis Sunday night and quickly, what do you think of Siakam and the
02:17Pacers the other night beating the Celtics?
02:21The Pacers first, they did blow a 24-point lead.
02:26This is not a very good basketball team, and frankly, it's a little bit hard to watch.
02:31Halliburton's got to get better, and he's got to get better fast.
02:34As far as the Colts, I think they win in Minneapolis.
02:37I think they're going to beat the Vikings.
02:39I think they're going to rise.
02:41Hey, they're only five-point dogs.
02:43It's not like they're three-point dogs.
02:46So this is a team, I think, that can go to Minneapolis and get a win in prime time.
02:50I think they're up for the moment.
