00:00Well, we're in Asheville, North Carolina, and we're at the site of one of the homes
00:10that was devastated by the hurricane.
00:12I'm from South Carolina, not too far away.
00:14My family, when I looked at the map of what, you know, Helene, the trajectory of the storm,
00:19I was worried.
00:20It just missed them.
00:21I mean, you know, you talk about how, why these storms are becoming.
00:23There's no question that what happened here could easily happen where I grew up.
00:28And it scares me because there's no real, there's no defense.
00:31It made me think that I should come and try to help and try to show people what's happening
00:36and add some sort of light and use a platform to just further the conversation about what
00:41we can do moving forward.
00:42Evil co-stars Mike Coulter and Katya Herbers aren't just heroes on TV, they put in the
00:48real work with the volunteer-powered nonprofit All Hands and Hearts to help the Asheville
00:53community after the devastation of Hurricane Helene.
00:56I think it's just very special to see the two survivors of this disaster that we've
01:01met are so strong and resilient.
01:05And there's a beautiful thing happening in the community where people really come together
01:10and help each other.
01:11That's quite moving to see.
01:13We didn't know where to go.
01:14You know, the neighbors were nice enough to let us stay in their home, but that's the
01:18good, you know, there's so much good that comes from it, even though it's terrible.
01:21Obviously, you know, this is a wonderful initiative that is helping people on the ground.
01:27But I do feel like if we want to go to the root of what is going on is we need to all
01:32become activists.
01:33So we teamed up with Mike, Katya and Potential Energy Coalition to learn more about the Later
01:39Is Too Late initiative.
01:41I feel that a hopeful statistic that I keep in mind is that we only need 3% of the population
01:47to create a revolution.
01:48Revolution, yeah.
01:49So that seems achievable.
01:50Yeah.
01:51I think people should just realize that, you know, like social media is a great place to
01:55start change.
01:56I think people have to understand that climate change is sexy.
02:00It is relevant.
02:01Yeah.
02:02The climate crisis is here.
02:03It's only going to get worse.
02:04It's now or never for humanity.
02:06Whenever we as actors can do anything, you know, with our little platform.
02:11And anybody who wants to get involved should go to LaterIsTooLate.org where they can get
02:15all this information about how they can support movements like this, movements that are going
02:18to lead to helping people who are victims of climate change, because this is not the
02:23new normal.
02:24It's just where we are now.
02:25So it's going to get worse if we don't start making changes now.
