00:00I am here in Tallahassee Florida in the cone of uncertainty of tropical cyclone Helene
00:06expected to become a major hurricane at landfall late tomorrow. Here in Tallahassee we are well
00:13inland from the coast but a large hurricane is expected with Helene and a fast-moving hurricane
00:19which will bring destructive conditions here to Tallahassee. Power outages will be likely
00:25widespread power outages across Tallahassee. As you can see behind me we have large trees
00:30all throughout Tallahassee. People here are preparing for the hurricane already. Early
00:36this morning I witnessed many people getting gas at gas stations. Walmart packed full of people
00:42getting food and water and just about every shopping cart that was leaving Walmart had at
00:48least one case of water in it. So people here in Tallahassee are taking things seriously as this
00:53is a large hurricane that is going to have widespread effects. All of the peninsula of
00:58Florida will likely be affected by strong winds and rain and we should see those winds and rain
01:04come well ahead of the eye of the hurricane. As I mentioned a large hurricane will be making
01:10its way here towards the nature coast of Big Bend Florida late tomorrow. For AccuWeather,
01:16I'm Aaron Jayjack in Tallahassee Florida.
