00:00The DSWD has confirmed that the Family Food Box is enough for the province of Batanes.

00:05In fact, they will send more supplies when the time is right in the province.

00:12This is Keith Pelotin of Radyo Pilipinas for Balitang Pambansa.

00:18Along with the cutting of the Bagong Niloon in Batanes,

00:21the government has no intention of reminding and giving its help to the residents.

00:26According to the early order of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. of the local governments

00:32and the government's agency to prepare for the arrival of the Bagong Niloon before it is tasted.

00:38The province of Batanes was elevated to signal number 5

00:41because of the strong rain and wind of the Bagong Niloon.

00:45The Department of Social Welfare and Development of DSWD said

00:49that the Family Food Box is enough for the province of Batanes.

00:53However, the DSWD will still send more Family Food Box and water when the time is right.

01:01According to DSWD Undersecretary Diana Rose Cahipe,

01:05they are urged to consult with the Office of the Civil Defense

01:08so that the food and other aid can be airlifted as soon as possible.

01:14The moment the gill warning is lowered and we are able to fly,

01:18we will definitely start adding more Family Food Boxes in Batanes.

01:23The Armed Forces of the Philippine Spokesperson Colonel Francel Margaret Padilla

01:28said that the relief codes and other supplies of their air assets

01:32are already loaded to be delivered to Batanes at any time.

01:35Batanes is a place where the cloud ceiling closes early.

01:40So over and above, there are weather conditions that we have to look into.

01:46As soon as it is deemed as flyable, it is already ready and it will respond immediately.

01:53Seven groups of the National Electrification Administration

01:57have been staying in Batanes since the last typhoon.

02:00According to INEA Administrator Antonio Almeda,

02:03they did not let the people go home because they are the ones who need to return the current to the province.

02:10I gave a directive that the seven teams still remain in the island of Batanes

02:16waiting for the landfall of Typhoon Leon.

02:20At least when Leon arrives, the equipment that these seven teams are carrying is already there.

02:27The government allocated a total of P895 million

02:32for the victims of the Typhoon Christine and Leon in Batanes.

02:35According to the statement of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council

02:40this includes contributions from various non-government organizations.

02:45Batanes Governor Marilu Caico called on the people

02:49not to leave their homes if they are already safe.
