00:00We are very happy to be here today, to be able to speak to the public, to be able to tell the public, in my case, what will be the future NATO, to be able to listen to the President's speech, which will highlight many aspects and many criticisms that today our industry must face.
00:20Last but not least, the FULU, which will arrive next year, which, compared to the ETS that has already hit us, will be much, much, much worse. We must prepare, but also politics must necessarily do its part, because today, as today, it seems to us that we are a little too neglected.
00:39Let's say, on the one hand, Europe is against us, but on the other hand, with the regulations, it seems to put more and more in difficulty a fundamental sector.
00:51Unfortunately, you speak of Europe. Ships go all over the world. So, making regulations, laws that affect a ship that operates between Italian ports, can it make sense to do it in Europe?
01:05If there is an opportunity, I don't know. But instead of thinking of using a ship that goes all over the world, when it calls for Europe, it is subject to European environmental regulations. When we know that CO2 has a global impact, it doesn't make sense at all.
01:22What do I mean by this? I am not at all opposed to sector regulations, but I am in favor of absolutely global laws that affect everyone in the same way. This is what our industry needs.
01:39What do you ask the government?
01:41If it had to depend on me, more attention to the IMO, a much stronger IMO, and therefore I would like Italy to send an ambassador to the IMO with a strong mission, as other European countries do.
01:54Because if we can be strong in the IMO, automatically we can be a more competitive Europe, because the laws will be less regional and more global.
