Nilai tukar (kurs) rupiah terhadap dolar AS pada perdagangan hari ini ditutup menguat 66 poin atau 0,42 persen ke level Rp15.704. Sebelumnya, mata uang garuda ditutup melemah di level Rp15.724 per dolar AS.
Pengamat pasar uang, Ibrahim Assuaibi mengatakan, penguatan rupiah salah satunya berasal dari sentimen eksternal yaitu sebagian besar pasar gelisah menjelang pemilihan Presiden AS pada November, yaitu Donald Trump dan Kamala Harris yang bersaing ketat.
