Menguat Tipis, Rupiah Jauhi Level Rp16.290

Nilai tukar (kurs) rupiah pada perdagangan hari ini ditutup menguat 24 poin poin atau 0,15 persen ke level Rp16.270 setelah sebelumnya bertengger di Rp16.294 per dolar AS. Berdasarkan data Bloomberg, rupiah sempat dibuka pada level Rp16.279 per dolar AS.  Pengamat pasar uang, Ibrahim Assuaibi, mengatakan indeks dolar AS dipengaruhi oleh Ketua Federal Reserve (The Fed), Jerome Powell, yang mengatakan bank sentral sekarang hanya melihat kemungkinan satu kali penurunan suku bunga tahun ini, turun dari perkiraan sebelumnya sebanyak tiga kali.
