In this week's Tuesday Tailgate, the K&C Masterpiece and Carter Freemon recap the biggest games of Week 9, including SMU and Texas escaping road environments with a win, TCU coming back to edge Texas Tech, and Texas A&M making a huge statement with a win at home over LSU.
Transcript
00:00Hey, which game was more, let's just say fun and entertaining.
00:19So is it TCU, Texas tech, or let's go to cut number 14.
00:25Is it Duke and SMU?
00:43SMU became the first team since Marshall in 2011 to have a minus six turnover margin
00:49and win.
00:51Their head coach said we should have lost that game five different times.
00:55We should have.
00:56If we played it a hundred times, we'd probably lose it 99 times the way the game unfolded.
01:02It just happened to be this one time.
01:04So first off, which game was more entertaining?
01:06And then secondly, how the hell did SMU win?
01:09I'll go with the tech TCU game is more entertaining, but it's because it depends on how you look
01:16at entertaining.
01:17If you don't like turnovers, then, you know, sick football, then yes, the SMU Duke game
01:21was absolutely entertaining.
01:22But the other thing about them turning SMU, turning the ball over so much, they had a
01:2614 point lead in that game too, while they were turning the ball over and over and over
01:29and Duke came back and was, you know, had the chance to win there at the very end of
01:33the game.
01:34SMU, if you haven't seen the highlight, the SMU defender cleanly jumps over the Duke center
01:39to block that kick.
01:40It was, it's an incredible highlight.
01:42Definitely go watch it.
01:44What was funny to me is earlier in the day, Notre Dame beats Navy, Navy turns the ball
01:49over six times.
01:50I'm writing my article for one of five through the fan.com.
01:52I say, it's really hard to win a game when you turn the ball over six times.
01:56Lo and behold, later this evening, SMU does exactly that and they win.
02:01It is, it is college football.
02:03That's magic.
