00:02Did you know that the traditional display of the Christmas tree

00:06started in Germany in the 16th century?

00:09The decorations used back then were fruits and flowers.

00:14The highest artificial Christmas tree was erected in Italy in 1991.

00:20It is 650 meters high.

00:22It will literally light up the whole surroundings when it is lit.

00:27And KarsP, speaking of Christmas lighting,

00:30join me in another Christmas lighting ceremony of a mall in Manila.

00:36Let's watch this.

00:39A mall in Santa Mesa, Manila,

00:42lit up a 45-foot giant Christmas tree in their annual lighting ceremony.

00:48The theme this year is City of Lights,

00:51where red, yellow, and gold lights are filled

00:55and the towering Christmas tree is a 3D display

00:58that became the center of Christmas lights.

01:02One of the highlights of the night is the appearance of Santa Claus

01:06with his dwarves.

01:08There are also Christmas carols and various dance performances.

01:13Christmas is about spending time with family and loved ones.

01:18I'm happy because you didn't receive any gifts or material goods.

01:24And that means that even at a young age,

01:27you know that Christmas is about hope, love, and positive values.

01:31And I'm grateful and thankful to our children for that.

01:34What we look forward to the most is family time,

01:36which is very complete.

01:38Eating together and, of course, gift-giving.

01:42The kids are also excited to share their wishes for the upcoming Christmas.

01:48I am looking forward to lighting up the Christmas tree

01:53with my family and friends being together and happy.

01:58I'm looking forward to spend time with my loved ones in Christmas.

02:02And my only wish in Christmas is to spend time with my loved ones

02:06and celebrate the joy of Christmas.

02:09These events are one of the things that Filipinos are always looking forward to.

02:13It is a reminder of how happy and bright our Christmas is.
